Summary: She decides to play games.
You wake up to your phone blowing up with several text messages from your friends and family.
Sister: "What happened?! Did you and Nayeon break up?!"
Mom: "What did you do? Why didn't you tell me that she broke up with you
Jennie: "(nickname), I thought I was your best friend?! Why didn't you tell me that you broke up with Nayeon."
Jeongyeon: "Since you and Nayeon broke up, can I date her?."
Jeongyeon: "Sorry, bad time to joke. What happened? Nayeon won't answer. Are you okay?"
It's hard to reply to anyone as the messages continues pour in. Everyone was talking about you and Nayeon breaking up but you weren't sure where they could have even gotten the news. The two of you weren't even out yet. You tried calling Nayeon but it just went unanswered.
Kazuha: "I saw what Nayeon posted. Did you guys seriously break up?"
Seeing her message, you quickly call her. Kazuha's message was the only one that gave you an idea of what was going on.
"I can't believe that the two of you broke up? The two of you were so cute! What happened?"
"Zuha, what the hell are you talking about? We haven't broken up. Why is everyone saying that we broke up?"
"....what do you mean?"
"What do YOU mean? Nayeon and I haven't broken up. Why am I getting all these messages that we broke up?!"
"Nayeon keeps posting these cryptic stories with the lyrics for CRAZY STUPID LOVE. It sounded like she broke up with you over the fact that you had been lying to her...."
You quickly pulled up Nayeon's instagram to find said stories that Kazuha was talking about.
"I'm going to have to call you back, Zuha."
You hung up, not bothering to wait for her reply. You tried calling Nayeon again but it continued going unanswered.
"NAYEON!! WHAT IS GOING ON?!"
"DID WE BREAK UP?"
"IS THIS HOW YOU'RE BREAKING UP WITH ME"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT YOU'RE DONE?"
"WHY ARE YOU POSTING THOSE STORIES?"
"DID I DO SOMETHING?"
"CALL ME!!!!"
You sent her all her stories that included the lyrics to her songs. You continued sending her messages but they were just delivered. Needing answers, you decided to drive to her apartment.

Nayeon is just sitting down to eat her breakfast when she sees your messages pouring in. She knew it wouldn't take you long to come over so she decides to wait to eat breakfast with you.
It's not long before she hears her front door being unlocked. With you being the only one having a spare key to her apartment, she knew it was you.
"DID WE BREAK UP?"
You practically yell at her after closing the door behind you when you walk in.
"Break up? What are you talking about?"
Nayeon asks, pretending to be confused.
"Have you not been checking your phone? Our friends have been blowing up my phone since the morning. My mom keeps sending me messages to fix whatever I did."
"...and what did you do?"
You groaned loudly.
"I don't know! What did I do?"
Knowing that she had taken the prank too far, Nayeon figured it was time to stop. She makes her way over to give you a soft kiss. She gives you a smile when she sees that the kiss helped you relax.
"Absolutely nothing, baby. You're perfect."
"But the stories. Why did you post them? Everyone thinks that we broke up."
"All done on purpose to promote the album. I might've just taken it a little too far. I only had to post a story with a lyrics to one of the songs."
"Nayeon! Why did you purposely pick a break up song?"
"To mess with you. I didn't mean to scare you, baby."
"Well you did. I thought we had broken up."
Seeing the hurt in your eyes, Nayeon knew she had definitely taken it too far. She takes your hands in hers and kisses the back of them.
"I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean for the prank to go so far. It won't happen again. I'll post another story and personally tell everyone that it was just to promote the album."
"...not good enough."
"Okay, then what can I do to make things up to you?"

Jeongyeon rolled her eyes at the image that you had sent her. In it, Nayeon's face was buried in your chest while you kissed the top of her head.
"She's mine."
"You can keep the lunatic."
She replied, along with a bunch of laughing emojis. The two of you were perfect for each other.

"So the two of you didn't break up?"
"No, mom. I thought it would be a funny to pull a prank on (y/n). I made a mistake so I'm sorry for worrying you."
After dating for years, Nayeon had taken to calling your mother, mom. It had been on accident but your mom was quick to assure her that it was more than okay.
"And I really thought (y/n) had really done something to make you break up with her. I'm glad she hasn't done anything yet."
"Hey!" You interrupt the conversion over your mother's words. "What do you mean that I haven't done anything yet?! I'm an amazing girlfriend. I won't do anything."
"We'll see about that. I expect the two of you back home in the weekend. I'm making your favorites."
With that said, your mom hangs up. Nayeon laughs over the pout you currently had.
"Something wrong babe?"
"My mom loves you more than she loves me."
She presses a kiss to your cheek before holding you a little tighter.
"I just have that effect on people." Without looking, Nayeon knew you were rolling your eyes as you scoffed. "You don't have to be jealous of anyone. You know that my heart belongs to you."
Seemingly satisfied with her answer, you melt into the embrace.
"It better."
