Summary: You had enough of Jihyo's lies
You stared at your phone like a fool, waiting for a call or even a text from Jihyo. You were well aware of Jihyo's busy life but you didn't think it was going to be this lonely. Sometimes it felt like the two of you weren't even dating. It was always you putting in the effort while she always claimed that she was too busy or something came up.
Jihyo had promised to at least contact you at some point of the date, whether it was to tell you she woke up, where she would be going or at least a good night but she couldn't even do that. She could sing and dance with barely any sleep and yet she couldn't pick up her phone and send you a simple text.
It was frustrating and at this point, you were starting to get pissed off. When the clock struck midnight, you sent her a message.
'We need to talk.'

Jihyo was halfway falling asleep when her phone screen lit up. Squinting her eyes, she read your message. She felt her stomach drop at your text. She already knew what the talk was going to be about. You had repeatedly warned her to at least keep you updated about you date and yet she had failed to do it.
No longer sleepy, Jihyo attempted to call you.
"....Please leave a message after the beep..."
"I'm coming over!"
Jihyo was not going to wait until the morning to fix things. Even if she wanted to wait until the morning, she would just be tossing and turning while thinking about what was going to happen between the two of you. She loves you. She just has a shitty way of showing it because she knows that you'll always be there for her.

You're startled awake by loud banging on your door. Your body hurts from sleeping on the couch but you ignored the pain to focus on who could be at the door. The banging continued as you searched for a weapon to defend yourself.
"(y/n)! Please open the door! We need to talk."
Your fear is replaced by anger. You should've known that Jihyo would show up unannounced after your message. She had plenty of opportunities to fix your relationship and it was too late.
Opening the door, you're greeted by a makeup-less Jihyo in pajamas. It looked like she had just gotten out of bed and hurt to see that she couldn't be bothered to have sent you a message.
"Yes we do. We're done."
"What?"
You could tell Jihyo was surprised by the breakup. After the many chances you had given her, Jihyo probably assumed she would apologize and beg for forgiveness to make things right.
"I said that we're done, Jihyo. I'm tired of all your empty promises. All I asked was for one simple thing and you couldn't even be bothered to do it. I don't ask for much. I just wanted a message so that I could know you were alive. Instead, I had to result to your social media or interviews to see what you were up to."
"I know. I know! Please. Lets just go inside and talk about this. I promise that..."
"No! I'm done with your promises. I told you that we're done. I'm not changing my mind."
"(y/n), please....."
"Leave!"
You didn't give her a chance to argue back after slamming the door shut. You didn't realize you were holding back your tears until you felt one slip. Tears began to spill as all you realized exactly what you had done. You sank to the floor, sobbing from the pain of ending things with Jihyo. You loved her but you would be a fool to stay with her.
