Summary: Being the new group manager, Shuhua decides to test you.
You were in disbelief about the sudden promotion. It hadn't been too long after you had signed the contract to be a co-manager when your boss pulled you aside to let you know about the sudden change.
Even the girls were surprised when you were suddenly introduced as the new manager of the group.
"Was anyone going to tell us about this change? What about...."
Shuhua was vocal about her disapproval about the sudden change. The group was about to release a new album, a change in management could ruin the comeback. You could tell the others were hesitant about the decision but they remained quiet.
"Trust us girls. This is for the best. We didn't plan for this change to happen so quickly but it did. I trust that you'll make her feel welcome. If there's any concerns, let us know."
Your boss remained for a few more minutes to discuss the comeback and the new changes before he steps out to leave you alone with the girls.
"So you think you have what it takes to be our manager?"
"I believe so. I've been working for this company since I graduated. I've worked under talented management so I'd like to think that I picked up a thing or two."
Shuhua scoffs at your answer.
"We'll see about that."

"CONGRATULATIONS BABY!!!!" Miyeon's scream nearly gives you a heart attack when you open the door. She laughs when she catches your surprised expression. "Sorry, I got a little carried away."
You wrapped your arms around her waist to pull her against your body before leaning down to kiss her.
"I loved my surprise. I saw cake."
"Of course. A surprise isn't complete without cake. Why didn't you tell me about your promotion? I thought you were going to be co-manager for Lightsum."
"That's what I thought too but they literally told me last minute about the change. I'm not entirely sure what happened."
Miyeon leaned in to kiss you again.
"Well I'm happy that you got a promotion and that we're able to spend more time together. I was starting to miss you."
"Me too, love. I'm glad we're able to work together."

Miyeon wanted to strangle Shuhua and Yuqi over how demanding they were being. It was obvious that the two of them were being divas just to test how far they can push you. Soyeon had tried to intervene but you declined her help. Telling her that you could handle their ridiculous requests.
"Manager unnieeee, I lost my AirPods."
You let out a sigh when you heard Shuhua's voice. After running around like crazy, you had just gotten a moment of peace.
"Coming, Shuhua."
Miyeon thought that you being the groups manager would let you have more time together but it was the complete opposite. With Shuhua and Yuqi being demanding, you barely had time for yourself. She was going to put a stop to it. Placing her food down, Miyeon followed after you.

"I lost them somewhere around there."
Shuhua waved her hand around the mess the wardrobe team had made while choosing the groups concept outfits.
