Summary: You break up with your boyfriend and Nayeon celebrates
"Sh..he broke up with me."
Nayeon could barely understand what you were saying between sobs. When it finally registered in her mind, she couldn't help but smile.
"What? I'm so sorry that happened."
If she wasn't holding you while you cried, you would've noticed how happy she seemed.
"I d..don't even know w..why."
Nayeon knew why. She had caught her locking lips with a guy. It made her blood boil to see her cheating on you and she had told her off. Threatened her to break up with you or else she would tell the world all her dirty secrets. Barely debuting, the girl was too scared about a scandal and ended things with you.
"It's ok. She was trash anyways. You'll find someone better."
You just cried harder. The break up was still fresh and you were still in a lot of pain.
Nayeon moved to have you sit on her lap while she gently rocked you. She felt bad for being responsible for the pain you were in but it was necessary. You deserved someone that wasn't a lying piece of shit.

Months had passed after the break up and you were doing much better. Nayeon had been a godsend and you owed her for helping you through everything.
"Nayeon, you have to be nice. People are already making theories as to why you don't like the group."
Nayeon kept glaring at the table your ex was sitting at with her group. She should've done everything she could to get her kicked off.
"Nice? She broke your heart. I'll never be nice to anyone that caused you any pain."
You rolled your eyes as you rested your head on her shoulder.
"I'm over her. I hold no grudges against anyone and you shouldn't either. I see a wrinkle forming."
"Hey!" Nayeon rubbed her hand over her forehead, trying to feel the wrinkle you were talking about. "I have amazing skin!"
You pressed a kiss against her cheek while smiling.
"I know, Nayeon. I'm just teasing."

The theories grew wilder after the awards ceremonies. Edits were made about the love triangle that you, Nayeon and your ex could possibly be in. Seeing them made you laugh, especially the ones where that claimed that you had broken up with Nayeon to be with your ex. Those edits always pissed off Nayeon and it made her extra clingy. You never complained as she clung to you for the rest of the day.
"I can't believe they think that I'll lose to her. I'm much better than her! We look better together. I have more money. I could treat you like the queen that she is...."
"Just kiss her already!"
Sana threw popcorn at Nayeon, cutting off her argument. The others laughed, making Nayeon glare at them.
"Are you crazy?!"
"If I am then so are you. How long are you going to pretend being the clingy friend. It was cute at first but now it's sad. Why don't you just tell her already? We're all 100% sure that she likes you too."
"...as a friend. (y/n) would never look at me like that and I already accepted my faith."
"So you're going to stay a loser and let her get in another relationship where you'll probably chase them off again...."
"She cheated on her! I couldn't let her stay in a lie."
"She cheated on me?"
There eyes all widen when they look over at you. They hadn't realized when you had come into the room.
"(Y/n)....how long have you been listening to the conversation."
You didn't look mad, if Nayeon had to guess, you actually looked happy.
"Lets see. Since 'I'm much better than her....'" Nayeon's groan made you laugh. "Sana is right. I do like you very much, Nayeon. I thought it was obvious with how clingy I am with you."
Thankfully, everyone had disappeared. Leaving the two of you alone.
"I thought you were clingy with everyone."
Smiling, you shook your head while getting closer to her.
"Only you, Nayeon."
"Oh..."
For once in her life, Nayeon was speechless. You took the initiative to close the distance between the two of you. Placing your hands on her hips, you leaned in close to her.
"Only you."
You whispered practically against her lips. Closing her eyes, Nayeon leaned in to kiss you.
