Summary: It's her birthday but you can't be there to celebrate it.
Minji couldn't help but be a little disappointed that you wouldn't be able to make it to her birthday celebration. You had promised her that you would be able to make it but there had been issues at work and ultimately you had to cancel your trip. It was disappointing but she was understanding about it. There had also been times where Minji would promise to visit you but ultimately the plans were cancelled as she had something to do last minute.
"Minji! Guess what just arrived?!"
Minji's not in the mood to get out of bed. All she wanted was to lay in bed all day.
"What?!"
Bora doesn't answer until she finally gets to her room. Minji's surprised to see the large she's carrying.
"Special delivery for Minji Kim. Straight from the States."
Upon hearing her mention your home country, she rushes out of bed to take the box from Bora. Just as she's about to take it, Bora pulls it aside.
"Ah ah ah. I promised (y/n) that you would FaceTime when you opened the box. She call her."
"I'll call her right now. Now go away."
Bora rolls her eyes and hands her the box.
"You're sharing any snacks that she sent."
"Yeah, yeah."
Pushing Bora out the room, she closes the door behind her. She takes the box to her bed and sets up her phone so that the camera was angled to face both the box and her. You immediately answer and greet her with a wide smile.
"Happy Birthday love!"
"I thought you were going to be busy with work all day."
"I could spare an hour to talk to the birthday girl. I see that Bora gave you the box. Have you opened it?"
"No..."
"Go ahead and open it, love."
Minji does as she's told. At the top, she's greeted by her favorite snacks that she enjoyed whenever she visited the States or you brought her some. There's a whole bunch so she figures that you had sent a lot of extras to share.
"These will be gone in a few days."
"Lucky for you, I sent an extra box with more snacks. Those are all for you."
After finally moving all the snacks, Minji is greeted by a teddy bear wearing a suit. She pulls it out and is hit by the scent of your perfume. You smile when you see her holding it tightly.
"I miss you."
"I miss you too, love. I'm sorry about not being able to visit."
"It's okay. I'll just cuddle with this at night until you finally come visit."
Minji sets the teddy bear aside and pulls out a hoodie. She takes it out the box and extends it to see that it was your favorite hoodie that she would steal whenever she would visit. Minji quickly puts it on. It's oversized so it practically engulfs her.
"I feel so special."
"That's because you are, Minji. I love you and I love seeing you in my clothes."
She gives you a smile as she hugs herself.
"I love you too and I love wearing your clothes. You should probably send more."
"We'll see about that. There's one more thing."
Checking the box, Minji finds an envelope. She pulls it out and opens it. You can't help but smile when you see her reaction change.
"Is this true?"
"100%. I didn't want to tell you until I signed the contract."
"This is the best present you could've gotten me! I can't believe you're moving here!"
"Well believe it. That's why I sent a bunch of extra snacks. It's so hard to find them there."
"Who said I was going to share?" You pout, making her laugh. "Okay, okay. I'll share."
"Good! I should probably let you go. I heard the girls are planning to take you out for dinner. You should probably start getting ready."
"But I don't want to stop talking to you. It's been a while since we've talked."
You felt bad for barely having time for your girlfriend but it was for a good cause. You were busy preparing for the interviews and the move.
"I know but I promise as soon as everything is set up, I'll have more free time."
She sighs and nods. You could tell she wanted to say something else but choose against it.
"Okay. I'll let you go then. Can we talk tonight?"
You quickly nod.
"Just let me know when you're back from dinner and I'll call you."
The two of you eventually hang up and Minji eventually joins the others to discuss their plans for dinners.

Minji's stops talking when she realizes that none of the group was paying attention. They're looking over her shoulder but before she could turn around and see what had grabbed their attention, her eyes are covered.
"Guess who?"
Minji immediately recognized your scent and voice.
"Baby!"
You take off your hands, letting her stand up to face you and give you a kiss. The two of you get lost in it for a second until the entire group starts to complain. Luckily, the table was private so no one other than the group had been witness to the kiss.
"I thought you couldn't make it."
"I originally couldn't but after quitting, I found myself with a lot of free time. Visiting my girlfriend was the only logical thing to do with my free time."
"Yah! Enough of this reunion. I'm hungry. Sit down and order."
You quickly take a seat besides Minji before Siyeon could tell you anything else. The others just laughed at the two of you.
"Ignore her, she's just mad because Bora wouldn't hand out the snacks until after dinner."
Siyeon didn't say anything but she did glare at Minji. Wanting to get on her good side, you secretly handed her the snack you had in your bag for emergencies like these.
"Don't think that this puts you on good terms with me."
Bora thankfully interrupts you before you could answer.
"Siyeon! That was supposed to be for after dinner."
Bora takes the snack and puts it away. You join in on the others laughing but stop when you Siyeon do a cutting motion across her throat. You gulp loudly and scoot a little closer to Minji.
"She's going to kill me."
You whisper to Minji.
"Relax. Siyeon might look like a wolf but she's just a puppy."
You had a feeling that Siyeon was all bark and all bite.
