POV: Skylar
"This place is massive! What are you going to do with all this space?" I walk around the big house with Darleen.
It's officially the day after Christmas, we came back to her new house now that it's just the two of us.
Not just two stories high, but three! This house cost 40 MILLION DOLLARS! Holy guacamole batman. I knew she was rich but damn, they acted like 40 million was chump change to them like it didn't even make a dent in their pockets.
The house has everything anyone could ever want. Two kitchens. An Olympic size swimming pool out back. A balcony pool on the third floor. An in-house gym, steam room, and movie theater. More rooms than I can count. Not to mention the several acres of land out back.
"You mean, what are we going to do with all this space?" She says.
"Come again?" I turn to her and raise an eyebrow.
"Move in with me, we can decorate room by room together." She grabs my hands in her own.
"Darleen I already told you I'm getting a dorm room for the upcoming semester. I already paid and signed the contract for it." I say.
"Skylar, I can take care of you." She pouts.
"And if we break up?"
"We won't."
"But if we do? I don't want to be stuck out on the street."
"If we break up I will personally pay for a year lease in any apartment of your choosing. How about that?" she offers.
"Darleen." I pout.
"Say yes, please." She begs.
"No, I don't want to be dependent on you." I pull away from her.
"You see, I thought you might say something like that. Luckily, I came prepared." She smirks.
I raise an eyebrow.
"Here," she hands in her first passes.
Two Skylar passes.
Already using up one of the ten This better be good passes, now she only has 9 left. And an adventure pass.
"Two?" I ask for clarification.
"One is so you will move in with me, the other... is so you have to say yes when I say we are hopping on a plane to Japan tomorrow morning," she smirks.
"What!"
"I already checked to make sure your passport was clear." She says smugly.
"Darleen—"
"Ah ah ah, I use my passes." She stops me from protesting.
I pout.
She smirks at me.
She was prepared.
Damn her.
"Now, will you move in with me?" she asks.
I roll my eyes but rip up the This better be good pass.
"Looks like I have no choice now do I," I say.
"And will you be going to Japan with me?"
"Looks like I better start packing," I rip up the adventure pass.
"Oh I am going to milk this book for all it's worth," she smiles widely.
"I hate you," I pout.
"Come here," she pulls me into her arms.
