POV: Darleen

Jade.

Jade, Jade. Jade.

My arch-rival.

The girl I love to hate.

I'm not sure what to do with this information now that I have it. What's that saying? Ignorance is bliss? I should have never asked Skylar that stupid question. It's all I've been able to think about for the past two weeks. It ruined the rest of our Japan trip.

Honestly, I'm just glad Skylar has to return to school. It gave me an excuse to get away from her for a bit, come back to my old apartment, and pack up some stuff for the house.

"Hey," Lexi walks in, surprised to see me.

"Hey, sorry, I should have called. I just came to get some stuff." I explain as a mover walks past me with another box.

"Where's Skylar?" She asks.

"Classes. I told her I'd be up here a couple of days to move my stuff."

"Oh."

"Is that okay? I can get a hotel." I quickly offer when I see her panicked face.

"No, no, it's fine. Just... internally panicking that the girl I'm still in love with will be sleeping in a room ten feet from mine for two days." She says sarcastically.

I cringe.

"Kidding! Geez," She laughs.

"Are you sure? I can—"

"Darleen, relax. I'm over it, I've actually been talking to this other girl." She flops down on the couch.

"Really?" I move to sit next to her.

"Yeah... it's new. But we've just been talking, I don't think she knows I'm into her yet. I haven't dropped the bisexual bomb." She says.

"What's she like?" I ask.

"Okay, I know this sounds bad, but I met her at therapy. She came in for her appointment but got her days mixed up and ended up walking in on my appointment, but I was leaving already. Her appointment was actually the day after. Anyway, we went for coffee and just started talking and became friends. She's super nice and funny, and just overall amazing. She's so pretty."

"That's awesome, I'm happy for you." I smile.

"Really?"

"What?"

"It's just you were always so jealous and territorial that I thought you'd freak out," she admits.

"I am not," I scoff.

"Are too," she smirks.

First Skylar now Lexi too? I'm not territorial, am I?

"I don't think I am," I pout.

"It's one of the more challenging parts of your personality but it can also be adorable sometimes."

I grumble under my breath causing her to laugh.

"Speaking of relationships how are things going with little red?" she relaxes on the couch.

"Err, good-ish," I say.

"You can tell me."

"It's complicated." I sigh.

"You never told me what your relationship with Skylar was like. You two were already broken up when I came into the picture."

"It's a very long story. Long story short back in high school I had a huge crush on Skylar but was afraid to tell her because I thought she was straight. Turns out she had a big gay crush on Jade. Jade was still not out of the closet and so I went for it. Kind of forced my love onto Skylar, and back then she had no backbone and just basically did what anyone told her to do. Eventually Jade realized she did love Skylar and a war broke out between the two of us over Skylar. Jade won and I ended up cheating on Skylar with Aphrodite. Thus ended our relationship."
