She was about to leave the room when Sidd's phone rang. She looked at the door of the washroom to find it locked. She paced till the side table to find his phone still ringing. She frowned as she picked it up, and what she saw made her furious. It was Abhishek's call with his picture as a background. She glanced at the door of the washroom to find it closed. She declined the call in anger. She kept the phone again on the side table but it rang again. She again glanced at it to find Abhi calling. Her anger was on peak now. She picked it up and dragged it close to her ear to hear Abhi's voice.
Abhi (cracky voice): Hello? Ashu! Are you there? Ashu, I know you don't want to talk to me, but please give me 1 minute. I won't take your much time. Just listen to me for 1 minute, please.
Avu (gritting her teeth): Why did you call on his number? Do you even have an idea how hurt he was last night after knowing what his brother thinks of him, and now you are again calling him. How can you be so shameless? Huh? What do you want now?
Abhi (realizing it's not Sidd): Avneet, Avneet just let me talk to Ashu once. It is really important, please.
Avu (stern voice): He won't talk to you and don't ever talk to him again.
She dropped the call before he could say anything. Now, her anger was on peak. That's when she heard a click sound from her back. She knew it was Sidd, who came out of the washroom. She quickly kept his phone on the side table, setting her hair, hardly controlling her anger. Sidd paced till her, rubbing his hair with a towel and frowned, seeing her anger filled expressions. He didn't know what had happened to her, but all he knew was that his phone was ringing.
Sidd (confused): Is everything fine? You seem mad. Wait, is it because I called you dragon? Hey, it was a joke.
Avu exhaled sharply, calming her nerves and just shaking her head, looking at him.
Avu (forcing a smile): No, why would I be mad?
Sidd found her behaviour weird, but he struggled it off.
Sidd (picking his phone): I heard my phone ringing. Who was it?
Sidd was about to open his call log when Avu spoke.
Avu: It was Abhishek Nigam.
Sidd froze hearing his brother's name. He glanced at her confirming, and she nodded her head. He checked the recent calls to find his 2 calls. That's when his phone again rang while he looked at the screen blankly.
Avu (examining his expressions): Sidd, just block his right now. I don't want you to spend another sleepless night today.
She was about to snatch the phone from his hand, which he backed off. Avu looked at him with confusion while he nodded.
Sidd: I will handle it myself now.
Avu: Are you sure?
Sidd gently cupped her cheek in his large, warm hand and smiled, nodding his head.
Sidd (smiling): You are getting late. You should go now.
Avu smiled side hugging him.
Avu (breaking the hug): Take care!
Sidd nodded, and she left the room exchanging smiles. As soon as she left, his smile faded away as the phone again rang. His mind played Abhi's words, which haunted him once. His finger automatically swiped the green button while his eyes were blank and face held anger. He dragged the phone near his ear to find his brother already pleading, wondering Avneet in place of Siddharth. His jaw clenched.
Abhi (pleading): Avneet, please don't cut the call. Just let me talk to Ashu once. I promise I won't ever disturb you after this.
Sidd (cutting him, chuckling humourously): Ashu! So, you remember you have a brother who you named Ashu. Well, congratulations then.
Abhi became happy internally hearing his brother's voice. He became excited, and tears leaked his eyes.
Abhi (becoming happy): Ashu! Is that you?
Sidd (stern voice): I'm sorry, but I don't know any person named Ashu. I am Siddharth, and you are currently talking to a businessman. You have only 2 minutes to speak up. Your time starts now.
Sidd spoke, glancing at the clock hung on the wall in front of him.
Abhi (cracky voice): You are my Ashu, my brother.
Sidd (cutting him): Whom you addressed as cheater, loser, betrayer, bastard. Right?
Abhi (aloud): No, you are not a cheater. You are not a betrayer. You are not bastard. It was Aarush, who is a bastard not you. You are my sweet brother. You never betrayed me.
Sidd (closing his eyes to stop tears, cracky voice): Congratulations for realizing it, but it's too late. I don't have any brother in this world. I only had a mother, whom I lost a year ago.
He was about to cut the call when he again heard his brother's voice.
Abhi (pleading): Ashu! Ashu! Please don't cut the call. Please listen to me once.
Sidd (dragging his phone close to his ear): You have 1 minute left.
Abhi (crying): I know, I know you are mad at me, and I have done so wrong with you. I was brainwashed by Aarush. He blinded me so well that I couldn't even think for a single second that you and Vaishu could never do anything like that. I'm sorry.
Sidd (chuckled humorously with tears in his eyes): You know how badly your blame hurted me. No, you can never know. You can never feel what I felt last night when I got to know what my brother thinks of me. You can never, and what should I do with your sorry? Huh? Your sorry is just like a small bandage on a huge crack, which can never be repaired.
Abhi (crying): I know, Ashu! I hurt you a lot. I don't deserve your forgiveness, but please come down to me. Please!
Sidd exhaled sharply as tears rolled down his eyes, and he cut the call as a sob escaped his lips. Abhi, on the other hand, cursed himself as he heard his brother's sob. Sidd sat on the bed with thud as he dropped the call. He could feel his brother. He wanted to go to his elder brother, but the bruise given by him was stopping him. relationships are like mirrors. Once broken or cracked, they can't be as they were before.
*****************
Vaishu was sitting in her boutique, all lost in her thoughts after her mother's outburst. She was battling with her own herself. One side of the heart is saying to forgive him because she loves him, but the other side of her heart is objecting to her thoughts, saying that he has done so wrong with her and she can't forgive him so easily. Well, it won't be wrong to say that she is in a dilemma. That's when she heard the glass door opening. She thought it was an ordinary customer. She walked towards the entrance to find Aarush standing there with her hands on his pocket and smirk on his face. Her hands turned into a fist as she saw him smirking.
Vaishu (in dangerous, low voice): What are you doing here?
