Chapter 46

They had intense eyecontact, but soon, he looked down when Vaishu suddenly stepped forward and hugged him tightly. Her arms around his waist while head on his chest. Her action was unexpected by Abhi. Her hug brought tears into his eyes. His breath hitched. He also wanted to hug her just like she did, so tight that no one could dare of breaking it. Vaishu was sobbing badly, while Abhi's eyes also leaked tears. His arms unconsciously wrapped around her protectively. He hid her in his warm hold, protecting her from this fake world and its fake people. He always wanted to keep her like this, but situations change, and circumstances change. They were hugging each other, crying in each other's embrace, not worrying about anything, neither the world nor their surroundings. It was alas, a peaceful moment for them. They felt peace with each other. Abhi slowly started caressing her soft, silky hair, and that was the moment she realized she was actually hugging him. Her sobbed went silent all of a sudden, and slowly, she looked up to see her husband already looking down at her. Her grip loosened around his torso, and she slowly took steps back, looking down. Abhi cursed himself, closing his eyes to hurt such a sweetheart. Her hugg was warm, but when she aparted, he felt hurt. He felt like killing himself for losing her trust. How can he maltreat the woman he loved? Just how?

Vaishu (turning her back while tugging her hair behind her ear, wiping her tears): Thank you for coming at the right time. I will be grateful to you, but don't expect anything else from my side.

She walked away from Abhi while he was just looking at her with tears and regret in his eyes. The girl who was beside Vaishu glanced at Vaishu, who went washroom and stepped forward towards Abhi while he looked at her.

Girl (awkward): I am sorry it's your personal matter, but are you the businessman Abhishek Nigam and her husband?

Abhi just nodded, blinking his eyes to avoid tears. The girl grinned.

Girl (forwarding her hand for handshake): Hi, my name is Jannat, Jannat Zubair.

Abhi glanced at her before shaking his hand.

Jannat: I know you don't know me but I do. I know she behaved rudely, but deep down, she loves you so much. I promise.

Abhi (chuckled humorously): Unfortunately, I have broken her trust.

Jannat: but today, you saved her as well.

Abhi looked at her.

Jannat (raising her eyebrow): What about that?

Abhi (looking at the way from where Vaishu went): My sin is much bigger than her love.

Jannat (with a proud smile): No, you are wrong! No such sin is bigger than love. In fact, love forgives every sin. I know she needs time, but trust me, she will make a decision in your favour. 

Abhi (smiling back): Hopefully. I have to go now.

Jannat (nodding): Don't worry about Vaishnavi. I am there for her.

Abhi nodded, smiling, and left from there. Jannat suddenly squeezed.

Jannat (squeezing): OMG! Their couple is so cute.

In U.S.A, it was evening till now and Sidd was sitting in the balcony. His eyes were stuck on the blue, clear sky while his mind on his brother. No matter how much his brother hurted him, he still have him in his heart. He was just mad on his brother and that was his right. Slowly, his lips curved into a beautiful smile. He came to know about the challenges of life, he came to know about what life is. He got his love of life. What else would he won't? His eyes showed an undefined emotion of peace. That's when, he heard the horn of the car. His smile suddenly faded as he realized that Avneet was home and if she would get to know that he was sitting on the balcony in the cold, he would be gone today. He bit his tongue, getting up and rushing in, locking the balcony. There Avneet reached in the living room with a smile placed on her lips. She side hugged her dad and mom, sitting down on the other side of couch.
