The sheer number of Archedians trying to seize their positions seemed endless. It was as though entire divisions of soldiers were throwing themselves, their tanks, and their guns to try and crack the Kovenant lines at any point along the wide front. Hundreds of thousands of Archedian soldiers are charging in, all eager to see if they can make the rising sun of Keralia set for good. Flags waved in the air as whole platoons went into the fray, followed by the sounds of bagpipes playing from musicians in the Archedian trenches. Yet the fighting was bloody, as losses continued to mount up with every step taken, with every meter of ground being paid for in the hundreds as men found themselves facing nightmarish Kovenant defenses.

Reports came in by the dozens and were dizzying as they made their way back to headquarters. But a clear picture was available, all along the frontline, from the Fuscene River to the port cities in the north, the Archedians were pushing, and each second counts.

General Engel stood alongside Torni as they reviewed the battle lines. All around them, staff officers and other personnel were rapidly shuffling and moving as they kept up with the near endless tide of reports, issuing orders and receiving constant replies and questions.

General Engel pointed at an area of the map along the Fuscene River.
"Tell the Stugs and mechanized forces in this area to hold the line at all costs. If they crumble, they risk compromising the rest of the line." She said sternly.

"Ja, General!"

Torni then looked at the General and said.
"I have Partisan forces engaging Archedian Divisions around the northern region of the Front, but they can't hold out forever. They are being engaged by Archedian units with tanks. They need support!"

Acting quickly, Engel looked at a subordinate and said.
"Redirect a few of our reserve Stug-18s and have them reinforce the Partisans in the north, tell them to expect a fight from a large group of Archedian tanks and Armored units as soon as they get there."

With that, her subordinate quickly sent out the order. General Engel was responding to the developing situation along the front well, years of training and experiencing on the field informing her decisions.

"Do we have a good estimate of the Archedian forces in terms of numbers and disposition?" Asked Engel.

One of the officers then replied.
"Drone reconnaissance has identified multiple standing points Kilometers behind the front and a massive concentration of Archedian equipment and Divisions. Most of these Divisions are concentrated along the area north of the Great Fuscene River, as well as the majority of their armored units..."
He then redirected her attention to the Great Fuscene River proper and said.
"Along the great River, there is a lesser number of Archedians Divisions, but still a significant number of Infantry but with few tanks. The Archedians are having the most difficulty crossing the river, and our fortifications are making them bleed for every attempt."

"Good, that will buy us time."

Then, suddenly, one of the officers ran up to her table and said.
"General! The men defending the Overlord pod is facing overwhelm assault. They are being assaulted by dozens of Archedian Infantry and mechanized forces and with hundreads of enemy artillery pieces firing at them!" He said, distressed.

A hollow void formed in the hearts of all personnel at headquarters. For a brief moment, they went silent, but no sooner had they received the news when that hollow void began to be made whole again, eyes burning passionately in every living soul.

General Engel said sternly.
"Send in all nearby reserves and redirect Artillery fire, I refuse to let that area fall! One of the Overlords is here, and I will not abandon our only chance at finding them, tell the troops there to hold their positions to the last man!"
