A Kovenant armored convoy makes it way towards the nearby mountains not too far from the village of Oolu. This was an advanced force, composed of mostly Kovenant Half-tracks and the famous Panzerspahwagen. The famous Kovenant scout car that was renouned all across the galaxy.
This advanced force was formed from the soldiers of 3rd Platoon, 87th Volksgrenadier Regiment under Lieutenant Skrosamzy. It had no more than 3 squads of 10 soldiers each, thus 30 troopers are present in entire column, they were moving quickly and just a kilometer or 2 behind them was another convoy of vehicles holding Lieutenant Skrosamzy and General Engel herself, alongside her support staff. They were to met with Lauri Torni, the leader of the Keralian Partisans and the leading figure behind the resistance againts the Archedians.

General Engel got on the comms network.
"Sargent Conrad, you and your squad are to initiate contact. Miss Dominique and Trotsky will be there with you to help in communication and help with any misunderstandings. Remember, we want to talk with them not fight them."

Dominique, having been listening in herself replied.
"No need to worry, General. I have friends and contacts everywhere, he knows we're coming..."

"Very well." General Engel replied.
"We will stay behind just a little bit behind you in case something goes wrong. Good luck. Over and out."

Conrad responded
"Affirmative, Conrad out."

Conrad turned back at his squad and he said.
"Alright Volksgrenadiers, listen up, let's go through this one last time... We're going to meet to a man named Lauri Torni, he is also fighting the Archedians and so he might be an ally. Do not engage anyone, understood?"

The Squad responded, all troopers saying yes and other giving nods.

As they got closer, Dian attempted to get one last cigar out, but much to her surprise she found none in her pockets, she checked her other pouches and still she found nothing.
"Oh shit..."

"Why? What is it, sister?" Asked Jonas.

Dian replied.
"Ah crap, I left my cigars back at base!"

"Hahaha!"
Chloe couldn't help but laugh.
"No, no, that's a good thing! I can finally ride in this Half-track without it smelling like cigarettes."

Knowing Dian's addiction to cigarettes and smoking in general, the rest of the squad was relieved she forgot to get a spare pack.
Chloe especially, as she had been combating Dian's addiction and stopping her from smoking too much.

"Crap..."
Dian covered her face with her hands and leaned forward.
"Just perfect..."

Jonas chuckled and patted Dian on the back.
"Oh don't be all dramatic, sister. Look on the bright side, you have plentiful cigars back at home in that case!"

Michael and Bernhard couldn't help but giggle to themselves about the matter. Though they mostly kept to themselves. It was at this point Michael said.
"That reminds me, Sir. What's the policy for engaging Archedians? Attack on sight or wait for them to see us first, then attack?"

To this, Conrad replied.
"General Engel adopted a policy of not engaging unless shot at, so don't shoot Archedians unless they themselves are shooting at you. We don't have the heat position right now and it's better to get as much information as possible about Keralia and the Archedian Empire first."

Susie, who was sitting nearby said.
"Maybe the policy will change once we get established?"

Bruno replied.
"Most likely, I think that's preferable. As far as I'm concerned, we're in an active war zone. We should take every step necessary to fight the Archedians, if not to destroy them, but to delay them long enough for Berlin to respond."
