Natalie's POV
After a few long weeks, Alex was finally back home from the Olympics. Bronze medal in my opinion is a great achievement. As someone who's not athletic, a Bronze medal would be phenomenal if I ever were to go to the Olympics to compete.
Unfortunately for Alex, a gold medal isn't the expectation and this time, the expectation of getting a gold medal wasn't met.
"I can't believe you went out surfing with Charlie." Alex says, her hand reaching for a pillow.
"We went swimming, not surfing. Do you think I'm crazy? I'm not coordinated enough for stuff like that." I say as I walk out of the bathroom.
"Okay miss pop star who can perform for three hours and not break a sweat."
"Babe I'm out of breath by the first few lyrics. Half of the time I'm just walking around waving to fans." I say which makes Alex laugh. "Why are you laughing."
"Because that's just not true. Don't you literally get up at 5am every day to workout, also you were on tour with Taylor, like what? About three years ago and you literally filled in for dancers for some shows. You're telling me you're not fit or coordinated? You're insane."
"First, what. Second, what. Third, how did this conversation even happen just from me saying that Charlie and I went swimming and not surfing because I'm not coordinated enough."
"You sing and play instruments at the same time, not everyone can do that. Also you snowboard and you're really good at it, you're telling me you can't surf? Yeah, okay. Sure."
"Actually-."
"Take the compliment. Now please come to the bed. It's significantly late."
I look at the clock that is on my bedside table, realizing it's quite late. 3:27 am late.
Grabbing one of my clean tie dye shirts after having to shower due to the accident Charlie had, I climbed into the bed.
"Every single time I look at you, I fall in love with you all over again." I say as I look at Alex.
Alex smiles as she grabs my hand. Her thumb softly rubbing my hand.
I sit up against the wall as I continue admiring Alex. Her beautiful eyes, and the way she smiles.
I'm smitten.
Alex lays her head on my lap, her beautiful face facing up at me. I softly caress her cheek, making her smile as she then kisses my hand.
"I want to say the same but then it seems like I'm just copying you. I love you, more than anything. I love you. I love you. I love you."
Alex interlocked our fingers as I leaned down to kiss her.
"It's late." Alex mumbled against my lips.
"Five minutes." I whispered.
Alex pushed me away and laughed lightly. Her eyebrow slightly raised.
"Natalia. If you even reach or move your hands lower than my hips, I will smack you."
"Trust me babe. I just want to make out. Now stop wasting precious, valuable time."
Alex laughs as she grabs my face and pulls me down to kiss her.
The feeling of her soft lips against mine, god how I missed it.
Alex moves away from me but she quickly moves to sit on my lap. I rest my hands on her hips as her arms make their way around my neck.
I reconnect our lips once again, as I move from kissing her lips to kissing her neck.
"Stop. I'm getting nervous." Alex says with a laugh as she taps my head.
"As if we didn't make a child. Now you're nervous?" I say laughing, pulling away from Alex.
Alex hides her face in her hands as she rests her head against my chest. She takes a second to compose herself before looking at me.
"Thank you."
"For?" I ask with a hint of confusion.
"You're my best friend." Alex says and I smile.
"I love you."
Alex moves her head slightly to the left and lets out a groan.
"We said five minutes. It's 4 am." Alex says and I practically break my neck to look at the time.
"I get distracted when I'm with you. The taste of your lips are my favorite. And I forget that time exists when I'm with you. Everything just stops."
"I love you so much it's insane." Alex says as she moves off of my lap and lays down beside me.
"I love you just as much."
