A/N: Re-uploading because I didn't correct something. And also no one told me I added something that shouldn't have been there. If you saw what was wrong, no you didn't. 🫣 Anyway, pretend this was published yesterday ❤️

Natalie's POV

Another day, another project to finish.

Although I did say I would temporarily be on hiatus, sometime I do allow myself to work on projects. Either for myself or people close to me.

In this case, per usual, a project with Taylor.

My headphones on, an unhealthy amount of Red Bull cans scattered around the studio, and a half eaten sandwich.

I was so focused on editing the film, I was startled by someone tapping my shoulder.

I clutched the chair tightly as I turned around to see Alex.

"You scared the shit out of me. Oh my god." I say, almost out of breath.

"Sorry, you just had your headphones on and I didn't know how else to get your attention. You weren't hearing me. How long have you been down here babe?"

"Too long. But don't worry, Charlie just went down for her nap."

"I can see. You made a makeshift bed with pillows and blankets. Cute."

"Trust me I keep looking at her every five minutes to make sure she's doing okay."

"I know you are, I don't doubt you checking on our daughter." Alex says kissing my cheek. "Your sister called."

"If she called you about work stuff, I'm sorry. She probably called you because I wouldn't answer."

"She just called to talk babe. Ever since we moved back here to Orlando, she's been calling me almost every hour. I think she genuinely hates being separated from you." Alex says and I laugh. "Babe it's not funny, she genuinely misses being close to you."

"Can I be honest with you?" I ask, taking off the headphones off of my head.

"Always." Alex says as she grabs my hand.

"I'm surprised you didn't want her kicked out of the house."

"Why would I want that? She wasn't bothering us, and we purposely rented a big house that had a separate small house nearby." Alex says and I scratch my head.

"I just know she can become too attached, some may say clingy." I say tilting my head.

"As if you're not clingy. We've talked about this before babe, she's your family. I understand why you two have never been separated as long as you have been. The struggles and well the feeling of comfort helped with situations you were both in. You're each other's safe space or person."

"I do feel bad she stayed back in California to get everything done, so we can finally move out of that house."

"She'll be back in New York in no time, or with Andrea. Who knows."

"We'll see."

"She did mention she might move in with someone while the pandemic continues." Alex says and I raise my eyebrows.

"Wait what? Did she tell you with who?"

"She may have, but I will not say." Alex says and I get up from my chair. "Your sister and I have our own secrets."

"I would hope my wife and my sister don't keep secrets from me."

"As if you don't have secrets with Taylor."
