The blanket never warmed his ice-cold skin, but in Khai's presence, Third felt like it was burning. Khai laid him on the mattress, sinking beside him. Though he was tired, his eyes couldn't close. The taller male let him snuggle closer to his chest, wrapping his long limbs around his thin waist. After a long time, Third finally felt whole again. The fog covering his brain slowly faded, leaving room for the lost memories to come out. Third buried his nose into Khai's neck, inhaling the musky yet sweet smell. His eyes scanned the pale skin noticing the gold chain hidden underneath Khai's shirt. Absentmindedly he pulled the jewel out. He gently caressed the locket attached to it. This relic seemed so familiar like it was holding all their memories. Khai watched him silently. A light smile spread on his face, and Third didn't want anything more than remember everything and see Khai's smile forever.
