nine 9 : Mark: Getting cold, Warming up, or Feeling hot

You arrived home from the unexpected date with Jinyoung and wondered if it was reality or a dream. 

Just 12 hours ago, you had just set off for a simple movie to catch up with an old friend but how did it turn out to become so much more than that?

Checking around the house, your brother Yugyeom had not returned, thankfully.

As you sat on the couch, you started emptying out your pocket and saw a few messages you missed while with Jinyoung.

Mark : Hey Mandy, was it ginger or garlic that was supposed to take away a cold, you were saying - or was it both?

Mark : I don't think its both yea? Cos it tastes real bad. Anyway, no worries you have a good rest.

JB : Babe, I came by today and saw that you were out. I called but you didn't answer. You okay?

"Oh gosh, did Mark drink garlic??? How desperate he must be to do that!" you hurriedly returned the call to him, knowing that he lived alone and was never really the kind to take good care of himself when he was down.

Mark: Hello....

You: Mark! What's with your voice? Are you okay?

Mark: (coughs) yeah, I'm fine.. where were you anyways? I don't think you saw my message in the noon

You: Yeah I just did, I was out for the whole day. What happened??

Mark: My throat hurts, I can't really talk.. (clears his throat)

You: Are you running a fever?

Mark: I'm not sure.... but it does feel...... a little chilly tonight... 

You: Hang in there, i'll come over in a bit.

Mark: No, (coughs) I don't wanna get you sick as well, we've been working too long without rest and you (coughs some more) aren't well either..

You: Just keep your door unlocked and take a rest. I'll be there in 10.

You grabbed a bunch of medicine, your trusty herbal sachets, and quickly headed off. Doing a quick timecheck, you left a note for Yugyeom incase he got back and didn't see you home.

"Gyeomie, don't wait for me, I've gone over to check on Mark at his place cos he sounds seriously unwell. Be back late - 11.05pm"

It was indeed a really chilly winter night, you jogged down the street in your sneakers, for a good 10 minutes all the way to Mark's place which was a few streets away. By the time you arrived, you were all warm and panting.

As you opened his door, you saw a huddled blanket sitting near the heater and a heap of tissues nearby. You put down your stuff and went over quietly to see if it was Mark.

To your surprise, it was a very pale and shivering face hidden by half a beanie and a thick fur jacket.

"MARK!!!!!" in shock you shouted out his name.

"AHHH!!~~" his raspy voice was awoken.

"OMG I thought you died." You knelt down beside him and put a hand to his forehead. He was feverish as you expected.
