The Hogwarts Express was almost full. I had said goodbye to everyone who was still there. Poppy and Imelda were looking for a compartment while I said goodbye to Sebastian. Evangeline and Ominis had already left the day after the ball. Evangeline had urgent matters to attend to with her family and Ominis had wanted to accompany her.
"You'll write to me?" I asked my companion, my voice pleading. He gave me a kiss on the lips and nodded, "No question," he whispered.
I had said goodbye to Natty earlier, because she and her mother had to leave early. They were visiting relatives.
I didn't want to leave, I would have liked to spend the summer holidays here, with Sebastian in Feldcroft, but that wasn't possible. I also wanted to see my mother again, she hadn't been in touch, which was quite unusual for her.
The train driver announced that it was about to depart and the last people got on.
"See you in three months. I love you," I whispered to Sebastian's lips before getting on.
"I love you too," he called after me as the train slowly started moving.
From that moment on, my life spiraled downwards, and I couldn't stop it.
