Francesca's point of view."Francesca Vincent Roman. 21. Italian. And I'm pretty sure her hospital is two hours away." A gasp escaped my lips as I sat up quickly and frantically looking around. Doctors, clearly interns, surrounded me holding my chart. They were scared as I had awakened abruptly. My side was hurting as I slowly laid back down. "Mrs. Ms. Romano, are you okay?" One asked slowly, stepping closer to my bedside. "Dr. Romano." I pulled my chart out of his hand and quickly looked through it. I recognized the logo at the top of each page. "Go get doctor Cash." The girl ran out of the room to do so as I continued looking through my chart and luckily my head was fine. My feet and torso was fucked though.
I handed him the chart as the door opened. A smile grew on my face. "Jensen." I sighed as he walked up to me. "It was an honor working with you doctor." He admitted. "You didn't double stitch did you?" I asked through a chuckle. "No never but," He started as he pulled something out of his coat. "You still play with bows?" He showed me the black arrow that was covered in gold lines. I took it from his hand and looked it up and down. "Yeah, an accident." I lied. "How'd you end up on the sidewalk, Francesca?" He asked. "Jensen, I'm tired." I told him, placing the arrow next to me. He threw his arms up and backed up. "It's okay, I already made arrangements to have you transferred to your hospital. Dr. Monet is waiting for you." I thanked him and they all walked out.
I looked around and slowly stood up. I was connected to an IV so I took the IV bag with me as I walked out to the front desk. My side was killing me and my head was spinning. "Ma'am you should be in bed." The intern said. I asked for a phone and she passed me the phone connected to the front desk. I punched in Giovanni's number and there was no answer. He was probably asleep as it was really late. I called King and his phone went straight to voicemail. Last I spoke to him he told me he had to go to work. Not sure how long that was supposed to take but it's been over 12 hours since I saw him. I put my head down on the counter as I thought of trying to think of Andrea's number. It didn't come to me but Reid's number came to mind.
"Who is it?" His voice was low as he woke up from the call. "Reid, sorry to wake you but have you heard from your brother?" I held tight to the end of the counter as I started to feel weaker. "Francesca, where are you? Why is it so loud over there? It's 5 in the morning." He informed me. "Silver Pine Memorial Hospital. Reid, have you heard from King?" I asked again. "No, no last I heard of him he was leaving with you this morning. Wait why the fuck are you in a hospital are you okay?" He groaned, as I whimpered trying to stay steady on my feet. "He said he had work, his phone was off and I couldn't reach him." I could hear him shift in his bed as he cleared his throat. "Work, no way he didn't tell anyone. I'm at my parents and we've been trying to call him. Thought he was held up with you." My head spun as I couldn't get a hold of my balance. "Call Beverly." I whispered as I let go of the phone and hit the ground.

"Hey hey wake up." I could feel my face getting slapped around. "Come on pretty girl, it's me." When I opened my eyes, the bright white lights blinded me. "Francesca , can you see me?" This time it was a different voice who spoke to me. "Beverly?" Once my vision was straight, I saw Reid hovering over me with my face in his hand, his cold rings stinging my face. Beverly sat by my feet with my hand in her's. "Hey tell me what happened, where'd you get this from?" Reid held the arrow in front of me, never letting go of my face as concern filled both their eyes. "King?" He sighed and didn't answer as Beverly shook her head 'no.'
"Your girlfriend." I said through a small chuckle that turned into a cough. "Shit. King is going to kill me." He put the arrow down and cupped my face with both his hands. "Tell me you're okay." I grabbed his wrist and smiled. "I'm gonna gut that sorry bitch." He smiled and let go of my face walking out of the room. "Francesca?" Beverly asked. "Your nose is getting better, beautiful." I kissed her hand and her eyes softened. "We can't keep seeing each other like this, baby." She was right. She didn't deserve this. "How's Ava?" I asked to change the conversation. She hesitated to answer but eventually broke. "I haven't talked to her since my trip, she's mad. Popped up at the house once but I never answered."
"Why? Mad or not you know she loves you." I told her. "I love her too but why bring more people into this?" Before I could answer, Reid walked back in. "I called some of the people me and King would work with. He did go downtown with one and they split to go after two different people, they were supposed to meet hours ago but he never showed. I wouldn't worry though he probably caught the guy and made his way to some bar to play pool." He wasn't a good liar, as his nose twitched and he looked really nervous. "Are you convincing me or you here?" His phone rang and he immediately picked it up. "Ma, how are you?" I waved my hand to him. "Francesca says hi." She said hi back to me then Reid stood up and his face lit up as he walked out.
"So this King, guy huh?' Beverly asked. "No, not at all." She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Why are you smiling so hard then?" I turned away from her and put on a straight face before looking back. "Come on, I know you like the back of my hand. First it was Reid, then I'm not sure what happened but you say his brother's name like a high schooler, crushing hard." I laughed loudly but it was cut short by a cough. I grabbed my side and rolled over. "You should rest, we'll be right outside." I agreed, and pulled the pillow under my head.
I was tired, hurting and the one person to make me feel better was missing.

It was dark, blinds shut, door closed. The room was cold as I shifted to lay on my good side. I covered myself with a thin blanket and stared into nothing. The room was so dark I couldn't see a thing. After a while of nothing I sat up and lifted my gown. I wasn't bleeding any more, my stitches set. I pulled out my IV and stood up carefully. My head was still hurting from the fall but not as bad. I walked to the door and opened it. The lights and fast movements quickly overwhelmed me. "Dr. Romano, why are you out of bed?" A nurse asked me. "My family, where are they?" I asked, looking around. "They went to go get lunch a while ago so they should be back soon." As soon as she said that the elevator down the hall opened with Beverly, Reid, and Andrea. They were holding a lot of food as they talked. Beverly and Reid laughed as Andrea was the first to notice me. She smiled and called out to me. Once they got close she hugged me and kissed both sides of my face. I walked back to the bed and sat down. They all placed the food down and took a seat as The nurse closed us in. "So I didn't know what you eat so I got one of everything." Reid said, opening the bags. "I told him a veggie burger but he wouldn't listen." Beverly lightly pushed him. "Every burger in the world and you think she'd eat that shit?"
I looked at Andrea who sighed as they continued to bicker. "Your mom knows what's going on, she's coming after work." Beverly pulled a new phone out of her bag and handed it to me. "Pretty sure you lost your phone last night so here's a new one. All the numbers I know of are on there." Andrea took the arrow that was sitting on the table and looked closely at it. "No idea what she did with my car either." I rolled my eyes. "Probably ditched it thinking you'd die last night. Don't worry I owe you one." Reid said. "Tell me this isn't the arrow she got hit with." Andrea looked at Reid and he sighed. "You should've listened to King when he said she was out. It starts with one before everyone else stops listening. Whenever she shows up, we deal with her."
"Yes ma'am." He answered as her phone rang in her purse. She dug it out and put the phone to her ear. "May I ask who this is?" I took the smoothie Beverly brought me and laid back drinking out of it. "King?" Andrea asked through a whimper causing me to sit up way faster than I should have. She put him on speaker and hearing his voice made my heart jump. "Yeah ma, sorry you were probably calling me last night, I lost my phone going after one of Santiago's allies. Ended up staying the night at a motel. How are you?" He sounded fine, like it was any other day. "I'm okay but King," Before she could finish he interrupted. "That's good, I'll be home tonight, mind checking on Francesca for me?"
"King, darling. You will be home now. Make your way to Silver Pine Memorial Hospital."
