Every year was tradition to stay at my moms house for the carnival, even though she hated the idea. Her house was the closest and the only house that would give each of us our separate rooms. She was big on houses she loved them. When she finally bought this house I think it made her a little less unhappy.

It was night two and I was in my room with Beverly as I sat on my phone. She was watching tv next to me on the bed while Ava took a shower in the guest bathroom. Every time I put my phone down it only lasted about 2 minutes each time before I picked it up again smiling.

"Don't you dare dye your fucking hair blond." I turned on the mirror and shook my head I would never. "Too late." I lied and looked over at the hair spray I was getting ready to put in my hair soon. "Tell me your kidding. I loved your natural hair color." I smiled even more. "Sorry."

I put my phone down on the bed waiting for it to ring again. But this time when it did Beverly picked it up. I wasn't to scared as she needed my Face ID just to see the message, but I didn't want to long to go by without replying to Reid. "Fuck are you smiling so hard for?" She asked standing up holding my phone behind her back.

"Vanni was sending me memes." I lied through my teeth trying to get my phone from her. It was Reid and we were fighting about my Harley Quinn outfit for tonight. "Oh really?" She tilled her head and ran out causing me to follow her. She went up to Giovanni's door and banged on it before walking in.

"We're you texting your sister." I stood behind her trying to get Giovanni's attention and help him lie with me. He noticed my panicked face and shook his head yes. When Beverly turned around to look at me I acted like I wasn't doing anything and looked down at my hands.

"Babe can you bring me a towel?" Ava screamed from down stairs. She looked at me with stern eyes before handing me my phone and running down to Ava. I laughed and laid out on Vanni's bed. "I'm going to have to see this for myself." I smiled at Reid's message. "Okay so why did we just lie to her?"

I turned my attention to Giovanni who was sitting in his gaming chair allowing all his attention to drain in the game he was playing. "Does it matter?" I asked walking out. "Just two more hours." I replied to Reid and put my phone in my back pocket of my jeans heading to my moms room.

I walked in with no notice and she was pacing back and forth on the phone with someone. "Enzo I'll call you back when they leave." She didn't even give the person enough time to reply and she hung up. "What?" She asked massaging her head so hard it was turning red.

"First of all stop before you pop a vein. You and I both know I can't operate on family." I explained as my phone rang again. "Why not? Wouldn't you want to be the one to have the guilt instead of blaming someone else for my death?" She placed both her hands on her hips.

"I just wanted to know if your making dinner tonight or do you want me to bring food back?" I questioned looking at the message Reid just sent with my heart racing. "I'm cooking." At that I walked out and sat at the bottom of the stairs. "Where are you?"

"At my mothers. Why?" As I looked up from my phone I found Ava and Beverly walking to the stairs. They both were extremely wet the only difference was Eve had her clothes on. "Do you even what to explain?" She couldn't even look me in my eyes. "Do you want to tell me who has you smiling?"

I shook my head and the three of us made our way up stairs. "Get dressed." I screamed towards Vannis room and entered my room after them both. "So I heard we're keeping secrets?" Ava said dropping her towel and slipping into her bra. "No it was just Jocelyn." I said sitting in front of my mirror and dropping my hair that was in a ponytail.

"I thought it was Gio?" Beverly said looking at me through the mirror. It's not that I didn't mind telling her who it was but even I know what she would say. I only spent one night with the guy and if I knew anything about him it was because he ended up at my hospital. I didn't know him but we were moving so fast.

I split my hair in two pony tails at the side of my head leaving two strands out at the front of my head. My phone rang and all three of us looked over at it. "You all just nosy." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my phone off of the vanity. "I'm outside."

Was he kidding? I never told him an address. "Beverly do you see a car parked out front that's not ours?" I asked pointing to the windows. She pushed back the white curtains and looked down with a blank expression. "Yeah a rolls Royce." She sat back on the bed finishing her French braids.

I was more creeped out then excited, but he did say he knew my mother or something like that. I placed a hoodie on making sure to cover my hair completely and went outside. I stood a good distance away from the car as the tinted windows rolled down.

"A hoodie?" "My house?" I said back to him quickly, looking up at the sunset that was fading into the dark night sky. "Let's just say your mother and I aren't to far off when it comes to business." He leans out of the window, scaring me a bit too slowly. My mother was a college professor and I don't find him to be one with kids, as he acts like one himself.

"What are you doing here?" I asked getting a little bit closer to the car. "Wanted to see if you ruined your hair, plus we have a carnival to get to." He said looking at the watch on his hand. I checked that time and he was right, I had to get dressed soon. "What are you going as?" I asked closing myself in my arms as a chill breeze hit by.

"I guess you'll have to see?" I tilted my head a bit annoyed. "Ok answer this." A smirk was laid on his lips knowing I wanted an answer to something. "You said your bringing two, who is it? King?" I was expecting him to say no because he had told me king didn't like the carnival and prefers "killing." As if.

All he did was shrug his shoulders behind gesturing to take the hoodie off. I turned away to walk back inside as I heard him laugh and start the car.
