Francesca's pov
I had just left work with Giovanni and Beverly who were finally ready to come home, which I'm thankful for because my dining room still spooks me. The way it was decorated was still the same.I even left the box he interned for Reid's head, only difference I had to remove the plates of food because it started to rot. Beverly was fast asleep in her room as Giovanni was watching tv in my room. I had just gotten out of the shower and had nothing better to do but laundry. King was off, busy tonight with his family. Him and Reid were in my head praying they both were okay. That King would call and say he's fine.
I started the washing machine filled with all my black clothes, a lot more than I thought it was. I cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the floor, mopped the floor, and rearranged my pantry. I rolled up my sleeves, and turned up the AC ready to clean my shower when a knock laid on my door. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail that didn't hold well with my thick curly hair. I opened my door and my heart missed several beats.
Halston stood with two men behind him holding rifles, ready to fire. "My favorite girl." He said with his arms wide as he pushed me aside and walked in with his puppies following. "You missed our appointment yesterday." He said, as I now realized today was Saturday. "I was busy. What's with the chew toys?" He sat in a chair and laughed. "When I tell you I'll be listening, how shocked do you think I was to hear you telling them I was alive?" I took in a deep breath and shut the front door. "Don't do this while they're here." I whispered as I walked closer to him.
He ticked at his teeth and put on a thinking face. "Guard the bedrooms." He told them and they immediately made their way upstairs. "It's okay really, you didn't tell them of our plan, thank you darling." He smiled as he stood up in front of me. "Change of the terms and conditions though." He grazed his hand on the side of my face causing me to face away quickly. "You mess up this plan for me, that box will be shipped to you. Your brothers head inside this time." My breath caught in my throat as water brimmed my eyes.
"I didn't tell them because the plan to drive them apart never changed." I said looking down at the floor. He chuckled before putting his finger under my chin and lifting my head. "Darling," His accent thick as ever. "Did I do this?" He asked, pointing at the fading bruise on my neck. "Don't make me give you another." At that moment I felt nothing but anger. I wanted to rip his throat out. He leaned down on me, closing me into him. "You're too pretty to be left bruised." He kissed my face and I couldn't take it.
I threw a punch with my weak and slow right arm which he caught by my wrist and I immediately threw a punch with my left which connected to his jaw. He stumbled backwards holding his jaw and wiped the blood from his busted lip. "You talk, not touch." He laughed and walked back up to me. "Don't think I won't take off your head as well." He whistled and his boys came running downstairs. All three of them left and shut the door with a slam.
