I left the boys down in the kitchen as I walked threw the halls and opened the laundry room door. I grabbed several of the candles I had up on a shelf and walked out closing the door with my foot. I heard them taking but only payed attention when my name was said.

I walked back into the kitchen and it went silent. "Come on now, you really think whatever you have to say is a bother after the week I had meeting you both." I said snatching the lighter from Kings hand and started lighting the candles slowing bringing a dim light between us. I pushed my hair back from my face and looked at them both.

"I didn't think it mattered which one of you I asked but you seem to know otherwise so please enlighten me." I said looking over at them both. "Why did you chose to go to Reid for the money? Let's start there?" King asked me taking the lighter off the counter never breaking eye contact with me. "Trust me he wasn't my first ask but I asked him because if what his family does is anything like the movies you guys have dirty money sitting everywhere and anywhere."

King laughed and I think this is the first genuine smile I've seen from him. "Well you're not wrong doc, but none of the mafias money belongs to Reid. As on the step down of our father the money is mine. You need help you come to me." With him being here I was unsettled in my own home. If it came down to why I felt comfortable asking Reid it's because there was something easy about speaking to him.

He was full of life and emotion to show off and his mouth was always open to say something. Unlike King who was quiet and very off the radar, when you looked at him you were quick to look away. "Why would you want dirty money in your hospital anyways?" Reid finally allowing us to hear him again. "Why would I want my hospital sitting on dirty work?" I shot back at him. "Well we're not giving you the money." He said.

"I'm giving you the money." King said using my counter tops as a ash plate. "You are?" I asked him with my heart now racing. "Yes, because if you fail, and get caught your mother would be a big lift of our shoulders. But I mean now I see you as a doctor and how you afford this beautiful home, up on the hills, and large land. You'd give your life before you quit on saving others." He told me.

"I don't see how she does it." Reid said crossing his arms. "Your trigger happy brother of course you don't see it." I became lightheaded and started heavy breathing like I was setting up for a panic attack. They continued going back and forth at each like two toddlers stood before me.

I slowly took off my sweater and wrapped it around my waist turning around facing my back to them. "You know my father had this saying." I said loudly making sure they heard me and they stopped talking almost instantly. I crossed my arms over my shoulders and pulled up my shirt showing them my red ink spine tattoo that was over Medusa's face. "Il mare trasporterà solo coloro che sono disposti ad affogare."

They said nothing but I felt their nasty eyes on me. "The Sea Will Only Carry Those Who Are Willing To Drown." I repeated to them in English, and dropped my shirt turning around to face them. "Those are the requirements of life and I'm sure you boys are smart enough to come up with what that means in your own way but I have my own meaning, and sure my father had his own. But you see my definition of this means 'If you don't work with the ocean the way it choses to work with you, you have no true placement in this world and you're just a placeholder for the one that belongs." I took a deep breath before continuing.
