On the road...
"What's going to happen now? Since I took the blame for the fire Robert Kirkman might just fire me." I said.
"I'm sure he'll understand if you just explain to him why you took the blame. He's very reasonable." Chandler stated.
"I hope so. I would love to keep my job. I just hope I'm not seen as a disgrace around the world." I replied.
"I can promise you that you won't." Chandler announced.
"Thanks." I responded, with my head down.
"Mom, dad, I'm sorry. I hope you're not mad." I added, keeping my head down.
"We're not mad, just disappointed that you didn't do the right thing like you were going to do. But I think it will be safe to ground you for two days." Mrs. Riggs spoke.
"Seems fair." I voiced.

Home...
As soon as we entered the house I immediately went upstairs and into Grayson's bedroom. I closed the door behind me and hopped onto the bed. I pulled a book out from under the bed and started reading it. The book was titled, "Sea of Shadows" written by: Kelly Armstrong.

45 minutes later...
Grayson had came to check on me, I closed my book memorizing the page number 235, and placed it back under the bed.
I looked at Grayson and smiled weakly.
"Hey." I uttered.
"Hey." Grayson replied.
"So, what's up?" I asked.
"Nothing really. What's up with you?"
"I don't know man, I mean taking the blame for my father really did a number on me, for just that one day I was there they tortured me and tried to get me to tell them why I did it. But I didn't reply, I just kept my trap shut. If I would've told them that it was my father they probably wouldn't've believed me. They would've thought that I was just trying to avoid getting a sentence in prison." I answered.
"Damn. I hate to say it but you really should've just said it was your father, no matter what. What were you trying to prove anyway?" Grayson wondered.
"Grayson, buddy, truth be told I'm not entirely sure." I responded.
I noticed that Grayson had a hand behind his back, I looked at him with curiosity.
"What are you hiding back there?" I queried.
Instead of replying Grayson just handed it over, I looked at it and as soon as I set eyes on the envelop I knew what it was. So I opened it up anyway. Inside was a card and a picture. I looked at the picture first and from the looks of it, it was taken at Christmas in 2006. I was standing in front of my mom, and her arms were wrapped around my waist. My father was standing next to her with his arm placed behind her neck. The three of us were all smiling and man did we look happy together.
Seeing this picture made me smile but it also caused me to shed tears. I brought the picture close to me and held it close to my heart.
"I miss you mom, I miss you so much." I whispered.
I placed the picture aside and then looked at the card. It looked like a birthday card on the front was a dog and it just said "Happy Birthday," I opened it up and read what was inside, "hope you have a tail-waggin' Funtime," and underneath that was a drawing of a dog with his tongue sticking out and his tail wagging in the air. Around the tail were lines to show that it was moving. The sad thing about this was that dogs used to be my mothers favourite animal.
My face was literally getting soaked with tears.
"Whoa. Are you all right?" Grayson asked.
"Y-yeah." I responded, wiping away some of the tears. "Thank you for delivering these to me, Grayson. It...it means a lot."
"You're welcome." Grayson said.
I looked down onto my lap and noticed that there was money in the card, quite a bit of money actually, $500 to be exact.
I put the money back into the envelope and just left everything on the bedside table.
"Grayson, you're a true friend. What would I ever do without you?" I stated.
"Something unspeakable, like attempt suicide." Grayson answered.
"I gotta be honest with you Grayson. Sometimes I do get ideas to end my life and join my mother." I announced. "It's all because of that dream-mare, I'm just glad they're over for now."
"You know what this means, right?" Grayson wondered.
"Yep. You have to tell everyone else and I'm going to have to be watched just incase." I responded.
This conversation carried out until supper and we even continued it after supper. For supper we had a delicious pot roast, it had to be the best in the entire universe.
Even though it was only 7:00 pm. Grayson and I headed upstairs and entered our bedroom. Grayson turned on his playstation 3, plus his TV, and put on some "NETFLIX."
The show we watched was named, "Lost," and I must say it was actually a very good show. We managed to get through half if season one before it was time to shut everything off.
Once again Grayson and I slept shirtless and above the covers.
