We pulled into the driveway and exited the vehicle. The others went in but Grayson and I stayed outside, because we were caught before we could even move away from the car.
"Excuse me, sir could I get your statement, please?"
I pointed to myself. He nodded in reply.
"Uh, sure."
"How do you feel about saving your friend's life?"
"Great. I just did what anybody would've done, he's a friend, but even though we've only known each other for a short time I consider him to be a brother. He needed my help and I was there to provide it. Given the chance I'm sure he'd do the same for me."
Grayson then approached and gave his statement.
"You know, I'm awfully glad I met Daniel, when I did. Even though we haven't been friends long, he's really helped me out through some tough times, just like my brother. He has all the good traits of a true friend. He even stated that he considers me as a brother, and I also consider Daniel as a brother."
"And even though we haven't been friends for a long time, I can tell that our friendship will never be broken, because Grayson and I will have a bond that's even greater than friendship. But right now, I'm just glad that he's still alive because everyone deserves a chance at life and nobody should have their life cut short. Every life matters."
"I agree. And thank you for saving my life Daniel."
"You're welcome."
Grayson and I hugged for a couple of minutes, and once the interview was done both of us went inside and joined the rest of the family.
