"You're trans?"
"Yes, but not anymore."
"Why'd you keep this a secret?"
"Because I didn't want you to think differently of me, the same went for Chandler and you're parents."
"Daniel...we wouldn't have thought differently about you. We still would've loved you the same way we've always had."
"You mean it?"
"Absolutely."
"Thanks."
"No prob."
*outside the conversation*
"Who're you talking to Grayson?"
"Take a guess."
"Shawn?"
"He used to live with us?"
"Tyler?"
"Really? You forgot already!"
"I'm just joking Grayson. I know that it's Daniel."
"Wanna say hi?"
"Sure."
"Wazzzzzzzup!?"
"Wazzzzzzzup!?"
"I asked you first."
"Not much. Just chilling with Hazel."
"Sounds fun."
"Yeah. She's in the bathroom right now, so I'm just sitting here Somewhat bored and I'm obviously talking to two of the best brothers I've ever had."
"Do you miss us?"
"No. I don't."
"I can tell that you're joking just by the tone of your voice."
"Obviously. You've known me for two years."
"Well, I'm off to bed."
"Ok. Goodnight. Chan."
"Night. Have a good sleep."
"Yep. You too."
Tomorrow...
"Morning mom."
"Morning Daniel. Morning Hazel."
"Morning Ms. Beliveau."
"You can call me Natalie."
"All right. So, how'd you sleep Natalie? And how about you Daniel."
"I slept good, thanks for asking Hazel."
"So did I, babe."
"What did you dream about?"
"It was a weird dream. I've had before and it was just as weird."
"Was it a lucid dream?"
"Yes. It's a hard dream to explain. You'd have to experience it for yourself to understand why I can't really explain it."
"Just do your best."
5 minutes later...
"See, I told you that it's a hard dream to explain."
"How often do you have lucid dreams?"
"Everyday."
"Everyday? Wow."
"Sometimes I have dreams that I'm falling and before I wake up I usually die."
"Wouldn't you be dead?"
"That's just a myth. I've even looked it up on the internet. I suggest you do the same if you ever have a vivid dream and you can remember what happened."
"I will. Now enough chitchat, let's have some breakfast."
"Ok."
A few minutes later...
"Thanks for breakfast mom, I really enjoyed those pancakes you made."
"You always do."
"Because you make the best."
"You're too kind Daniel."
"I'm serious, you do."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it."
I walked Hazel away from the kitchen and into my bedroom. I looked at her and sighed.
"What's wrong Daniel?"
"I'm not sure if I told you this and I'm definitely not sure if I should, but..."
"Whatever's bothering you Daniel, you can tell me. I'm still going to love you."
"No you won't. Because I've kept this hidden from everyone I've ever met until yesterday when I told Grayson. He's the only one I've told so far."
"Daniel, whatever's troubling you, you can tell me. I promise that I won't think of you as any different. You're still going to be my cute, loveable, handsome prince."
"Aww, thanks babe. You see, I'm not really a boy. Well I am, it's just that...I was born transgender."
When Hazel didn't respond I got pretty upset and didn't want to be around her, but after three minutes she did speak up.
"Daniel...I know that you had your reasons to keep that a secret, but you shouldn't feel ashamed about it. As a matter of fact, it makes you..."
"A freak? Yeah, I already know that."
"I wasn't going to say that. What I was going to say is that, it makes you unique."
"A unique freak? Gee thanks. I feel so much better now."
Hazel slapped me and pinned me up against one of the walls.
"Daniel. You are not a freak. You're a very unique person and we have your incredible characteristics to thank for that. You're funny, you're very welcoming, you're generous/gracious, you're very outgoing, you're extremely down to earth, and you have so many more traits that make you the unique individual that you've grown into. We love you Daniel and we always will."
"You're..."
"I'm not lying Daniel."
"Maybe in your eyes I'm not a freak, but to everyone else I'm considered a freak."
"That's because they don't know the real Daniel-Nicholas Beliveau."
"You really mean it?"
"Yes...yes I do."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
"Give me some sugar."
Hazel and I kissed for a few seconds and then went back to having a casual conversation.
"Why are you putting yourself down like this Daniel? And why are you bringing this news up now?"
"I was too embarrassed and was afraid too. I didn't want to lose any of my friends, or to be treated differently."
Tears started to cascade down my face, and didn't seem like they were going to stop anytime soon.
"Baby boy, I understand that telling your friends about the fact that you're transgender can be nerve racking, but you should know that your friends will always accept you for who you are...no matter what."
"I know. I-I-It's just that..."
"What is it?"
I remained silent.
"Daniel, tell me."
Once again I didn't speak.
"Daniel, please tell me."
"Please...please just leave me alone. I'm not in the mood to talk anymore."
"I'm just trying to help."
"I know, but I want to be alone now. Maybe later I'll be in a better mood to continue this conversation."
"All right. Want the door closed?"
I just nodded my head.
Once Hazel left and shut the door, I just curled up on my bed and continued to cry.
No matter what anyone says, I'm still technically a freak and I'm always going to be one, even if I did get that sex change. I know that a lot of people will accept me for who I am, but people that despise transgenders will just tell me to, "go die in a ditch," or tell me that, "I don't deserve to be alive," that I'm a, "pathetic excuse for a human," and that, "I should kill myself because the world doesn't need freaks like me."
*ring ring*
I wiped away my tears, took out my phone from my back pocket to look at the caller ID and saw that it was one of my friends who I thought died years ago.
I immediately answered the phone and placed it on speaker.
"Danny boy, what's up?"
I chuckled.
"Caspian, to be honest I'm not really in the mood to talk right now, but when I'm feeling better I'll be sure to give you a ring."
"Oh, ok. Is everything all right?"
"I'm just feeling emotional at the moment. Thanks for cheering me up a bit, I never expected to receive a call from you."
"Well, feel better soon Danny boy."
"I will. Take care of yourself."
"You too."
After that Caspian ended the call and I turned off my phone.
*knock knock knock*
I sighed.
"Who is it?"
"It's your mother, open the door please."
"I already told Hazel that I'm not in the mood for a conversation. So why can't you all just leave me alone?"
"Because we don't want you to hurt yourself. So please open the door son, we just want to keep an eye on you that's all."
"Pour l'amour de baise, I just want to be left alone!!! Why can't any of you understand that!!!?"
"Daniel-Nicholas Beliveau open the door this instant!"
I got up from my bed, walked up to my bedroom door and opened it. I shoved past my mom, walked over to the front door, put my shoes on, and left the house slamming the door behind me.
As I was walking away I heard the door open and my mom call out to me.
"Daniel-Nicholas Beliveau come back here right now!"
I just ignored my mom and continued on my way.
I took a glance behind me and noticed that my mom was right behind me. She grabbed me by the arm, but I just yanked my arm away.
"We just want to help you Daniel. That's all."
"You should head back inside mom, because if I have to hurt you so I can get away, I will."
"Are you really that distraught about the fact that you were born trans?"
I sighed as I clenched my fists.
"Daniel, come back into the house and we'll help you through this."
"You should be the one who should be heading back in!"
"We just..."
"OH MY FUCKING GOD, SHUT THE HELL UP!!!"
As much as I didn't want to, I knocked my mom flat and then took off running. I didn't look back once, which was probably a good thing.
I know my mom must hate me now, and will probably be doing me a favour by taking me out of this world, after all she did bring me into this messed up world.
Once I was far enough away from my home
I took my phone out of its case and started smashing my phone on the sidewalk until it was no longer salvageable so no one would be able to track my location and left it where it was including my case, but I mostly just smashed my phone because I was still feeling peeved.
A few minutes later two men approached me, one of them was carrying some rope and a bodybag. The other one had a police baton in his right hand, I was going to disarm him but before I could I was knocked out from behind.
55 minutes later...
I finally managed to escape not only my restraints, but also the bodybag. I took a look at my surroundings and wasn't quite sure as to where I was, or why those men approached me if they were just going to dump me in the middle of nowhere. They could've killed me and they would've done the entire world a favour.
I started to explore the area I was in to see if I recognized where I was, and if I did I could head home and apologize to Hazel and my mom.
After countless minutes of exploring I realized that I was inside a forest, located in a different state.
