"What am I going to do? I ran away from home. I'm thirsty and hungry as hell. But it's for the best. I knew they wouldn't want me there anymore. Who knows what kind of fun they're having without me. I bet they're having a party to celebrate the fact that I have left. It's either that or they started a search party for me."
The Riggs residence...
"Come on guess, let's go find Daniel." Grayson said.
"By the way he left he was probably telling us not to go and find him. After all he made this decision." Chandler responded. "Besides he was in on the attack, he probably called them to gather around the house so that they could try and kill you."
Grayson punched his brother.
"He wouldn't do that! He SAVED my life and you two witnessed it. That's more than you've ever done. At least he was there for me when I needed someone."
Back to Daniel...
I have two decisions. Number one is stay out here until I die and the other one is to return home. Considering the fact that what had happened to Grayson was mostly my fault, I deserve to rot out here and perish. I don't think I'll ever return back home.
"Why not just end it right now?" I asked myself. "I could just be over it and not have to live with myself for what I got involved in. I bet Grayson is already wishing I was dead."
Back to the Riggs residence...
Chandler was quite shocked, his brother had never hit him before and now he's blaming him for not being there for his one and only brother.
"Grayson, you know that I love you and that I would never let anything bad happen to you. Hell, I couldn't live without you. Who else is going to make me laugh when I'm feeling depressed? Who else can I rely on to always be there for me when I need him? You may not know it Grayson but I need you just as much as you need me, but right now our top priority is to go and find Daniel."
"Yeah, you're right." Grayson responded. "Come on, let's go find our brother."
The three of them left the house and begun their search. They split up into three separate teams. Chandler headed towards the park area. Hana headed towards the perimeter and Grayson he just ran straight ahead.
Back to Daniel...
I was sitting up in a tree thinking about what would've happened if I said no, like I should've. If I did none of this stuff wouldn't have happened, at least to my knowledge. I would pray to God that it wouldn't.
"If I said no would Grayson still be alive? Would they have left him be? Would they have continued their assault on him? What would happen to him if I said no? That's what I want to know." I told myself.
Chandler's (POV)
I searched all over the park twice, I had searched everywhere around the park, heck, I even searched almost all of the neighbourhood and there was still no sign of Daniel.
"Where on earth could he be?"
Hana's (POV)
I have already checked both sides of the perimeter twice and there was still no sign of Daniel. I'm not even sure where to look.
"I hope the others are having more luck then me."
Grayson's (POV)
I was still running. I haven't stopped once and it's been at least seven minutes. If there was a trail of blood I would being following that but I'm happy to go with my gut anytime.
"I hope we find you Daniel. I don't care if you were in on it, I just want my brother back. I don't blame you, giving the situation I would've done the same. In my opinion you did the right thing. I just wish you would've told me before."
I continued my search. I felt like I was walking through a forest because of all the trees.
6 minutes later...
I could hear a faint voice, I wasn't sure who it was or why they were out here, but I cautiously approached. As I got closer and closer the voice began to get clearer and clearer. I could tell that it was Daniel's. I ran towards the voice.
"Grayson before I do this I'd like you to know that I will always treasure the good times we had and that I'll never forget you. Especially Chandler and Hana."
Back to Daniel...
I walked away from the trunk, spread my arms out and closed my eyes. I was about to shift my weight when I heard Grayson call out to me.
"Don't do it!"
I got scared from his unexpected voice and fell. Luckily I opened my eyes and surprisingly there was a branch right in grabbing distance and so I grabbed it. It hurt, at least I was a lot closer to the ground at least a good six maybe seven feet. I swung on the branch for a bit before I let go. When I landed on the ground I did a parkour roll even though my feet were stinging like hell.
Grayson was shaking his head in shame but at the same time he was depressed.
"Why? Why try and take your life over something so fucking stupid?"
"From the moment I told you I just assumed that you would want me dead. The same went for Chandler and Hana, but it was mostly you."
"Why would you even think that? We're a family. Family members won't hold a grudge for something as poor as what happened way back when. Don't rely on the past, focus on the present. Otherwise you'll just be trapped in a void of despair. I would never wish for anyone to be dead. That's just inconsiderate, rude and down right wrong. I love you man."
"I love you too bro."
"Come on let's head back home."
Grayson started walking away but I didn't follow.
"I'm...I'm not coming home. I'm going to be staying out here until I die. Sorry Grayson."
Grayson stopped and turned around.
"But Daniel?"
"No ands, ifs, or buts. Just LEAVE! If I don't want to return home you can't force me to. I deserve to rot and perish out here. But you, you deserve to live a happy, carefree life. Where I'm not endangering you or anyone else. Please just leave."
"Come on dude, please come home."
"This...this is my home now."
"Fine. I'll leave, but when you have the time I want you to look at this."
Grayson took out an envelope from his pocket and gave it to me.
Grayson then walked away and returned home just like Hana and Chandler had done.
