I grabbed my head and started pacing, and I only stopped to look at Tracy.
"My son, has been kidnapped!? He's been FUCKING KIDNAPPED!? How could you let this happen!? You're supposed to be looking after them!?"
"It's not my fault. Both of us were out for a walk and the next thing I know, I'm waking up on the ground. Kaden was nowhere in sight. I called the police to start a search party and I'm positive that the whole city will help find your son and will bring him home."
"Where's Alice? Is she ok?"
"She's in her room."
"Does she know?"
"Yes. I told her. She's...she's pretty depressed about it."
"I'd feel the same way. I'm sorry for yelling."
"It's all right. I didn't take it personally. Any parent would freak out like that, if they received the same news. It's the initial response."
"I'm going to go check on Alice. See how she's doing."
"Ok."

Alice's POV
A few minutes later...
I heard the door open and looked up to see that it was my dad who had entered. I got up from my bed, ran up to him, and hugged him.
"I can't believe it dad, I can't believe that my brother has been kidnapped."
"I know sweetie, neither can I. I'm sure he's fine, he's a strong guy. I'm sure that he gave his kidnappers the whopping of a lifetime and he's probably on his way home right now."
"Do you really think so?"
"Yes, I do. I bet you that he could beat me in a fight."
"But he wouldn't hit his own father, and neither would I."
"I know. Is there anything that you need? A drink? Some food?"
"I just want my brother back, that's all. Please find him dad, please! Promise me that you'll find him, promise me!"
"I promise sweetie."
My face was literally coated with tears. I could feel my dad wiping away all of my tears. He then pulled me into a hug, but I still had tears cascading down my face and onto his back.

5 minutes later...
My dad had pulled away from our hug, looked me in the eyes and smiled brightly, which caused me to smile a bit.
"I love you dad."
"I love you too. Are you sure that there isn't anything I can get you?"
"I am a little hungry."
Tracy then opened the door and stuck her head through the opening.
"What would you like?"
"Some casseroles, some rice with mushrooms, and some green beans please."
"You got it."
Tracy then left, but forgot to close the door.
My dad looked behind him and just shook his head, before he looked back at me.
"That aunt of yours. I can't believe that she forgot to close the door."
"What are you saying? That she's getting old?"
"Well I wouldn't say that, that's pretty disrespectful."
"Then what would you say?"
"That she...put mileage on."
"Isn't that the same thing?"
"Yes, but it's better than saying "hey Tracy, you're getting old". Right?"
I just chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
"You know when I was about four, maybe five I also got kidnapped."
"How did you escape?"
"My dad always had a little tracking device on me just in case that actually happened, and I'm glad that he did. He saved me. He taught my captures a lesson that they wouldn't forget."
"So, why didn't you do that to us?"
"It didn't come to mind, but now that it has happened...I'll be sure to, so no funny business missy."
My dad and I just chuckled.
"Did he have the tracking device embedded?"
"No. I always kept it in my shoes. I always made sure to be very careful when walking. Sometimes I'd even put it in my sock just in case."
"Clever."
"And the best thing is that they didn't even know about it. The look on their faces was priceless when my dad busted the door down. You want to know what I said to them?"
"What did you say?"
"I said, "you're in for it now!"
"And what about your dad, did he say anything?"
"Well he did bust the door down with his axe and he yelled, "HERE'S JOHNNY"! He actually got me laughing. After he rescued me he bought me an ice cream. It didn't matter what flavor, I just told him to surprise me, but in the end he bought me my favorite...bubblegum."
"The one with the tiny gum balls?"
"The very same. He got himself a strawberry banana smoothie and he even bought me one. Two treats on the same day...lucky me."
I just smiled. "Yeah, no kidding. They must've spoiled you."
"No, not really. They did take me to see some movies every month though and I got to choose them, what size popcorn bucket I'd get, and the same went for the soft drink."
"Did you get any sweets? Like nibs, or Reese cuffs...anything in that category?"
"Didn't have to. We snuck our own in."
"Clever!"
