I saw chandler look behind me and looked quite shocked.
"Are these the thugs who tried to kill my brother?" Chandler asked.
"The very same. Get ready to run. It was one thing that it happened to Grayson but I can't let it happen to you, especially Hana." I replied.
All fifteen of them started to surround us. I looked for an opening and I did noticed one, but I couldn't risk it. So I said nothing.
I approached the leader and confronted him.
"What do you want?" I queried.
"To shed blood and to beat the LIVING HELL OUT OF YOU!" Frank roared.
"Why can't you just leave people alone? Especially Grayson? He didn't do anything to you. So quit being a bully and grow the HELL up!" I responded.
"If you try and fight me your friends will die." Frank exclaimed.
"I wasn't planning on fighting you. So whatever you were planning you can forget it." I voiced. "if you release my friends you can beat the living hell out of me, just don't kill them or anything related to killing.just let them be, all right? I surrender."
Frank gave Charlie and Winston the signal to release them, but in a way gave them a second signal that I didn't notice. I quickly looked behind me to make sure they were safe and they weren't. This really made me angry.
I approached them but was forced to stop when Frank grabbed me.
"Not another step. Unless you want the same thing to happen to them like we did with Grayson." Frank threatened.
"Ok, ok. Jesus Christ." I uttered. "If it saves my friends from harm...I give up."
"A wise decision." Frank exclaimed.
He then punched me and all the other guys started punching and kicking me. Some even picked me up and threw me into the structure. For one whole hour they continued their assault on me and it was finished when Frank punt kicked me.
The fifteen of them finally left and Chandler and Hana approached me. They helped me to stand up.
"This is not how I wanted my day to go." I spoke. "They didn't hurt you, did they?"
"No. We're fine. No need to fret." Hana answered.
"We should head back, we need to fix you up." Chandler proclaimed.
"I'm fine." I spoke.
"No you're not. You have just got the living hell beat right out of you. Don't act like you're a tough guy, all right?" chandler voiced.
"I'm not acting like I'm a tough guy, I'm just telling you that I'm fine. Let's just finish the game and then we'll head back. I don't care if I'm badly beaten, all I want to do is just hang out with you two and not have to worry about anything." I stated.
Chandler placed a handed on my shoulder, looked into my eyes, sighed and then turned to Hana.
"If he wants to continue we can't stop him. If he's that dedicated to hanging out with us we can't stop that. But I do agree that we should get those cuts cleaned and put some ice on your bruises." Hana said.
"All right. Let's head back." I responded. "For some reason...I feel like this was all my fault. It's like whenever I'm around other people some of them tend to die. I mean...what happened to Grayson felt like I was held responsible. Please don't ask me to tell you why am I talking like this or anything related."
"We won't, but let me just say this; what happened to Grayson wasn't your fault and no one was holding you responsible for what happened. You saved his life..." Chandler stated.
"I know and I'm glad I did."
"Then what's the matter?" Chandler questioned.
"Just forget about it." I answered.
Home...
When we arrived back at the house the SUV wasn't in the driveway and Grayson did say he might go and visit a friend. We tried the doorknob and it was locked. Luckily Hana had brought her key, just incase. She unlocked and opened the door. We stepped inside, Chandler closed the door behind him and then told me to sit down on the chair next to me on the right.
So I did. Chandler went to get the first aid kit and returned within a matter of seconds.
It only took about three, maybe five minutes to clean and dress the cuts I had. Some of them were deeper than others. I'm just hoping that I'm fully recovered in the six months and all my bruises have swelled down and that my cuts have healed.
After I was all fixed up we headed back to the park and hung out some more. We played a variety of games like hide and seek, but the person who was "it" had to have their eyes closed, since there was barely anywhere to hide. We finished our game of grounders. Plus we played some four square even though there was only three of us and one of us had to cover two squares.
Once the sun started setting we headed back again.
Home...
We continued to hang out, but this time we just had a conversation and it lasted until 9:30 which is when Mr. and Mrs. Riggs returned home with pizza from dominos. We each grabbed three slices each and watched TV together as we ate. Even though it was Friday Grayson and I decided to turn in early.
We slept the way we have for the past few nights, but before we closed our eyes Grayson asked, "What happened to you?"
"Your bullies showed up at the park while I was hanging out with Chandler and Hana. They beat me up for one full hour." I replied.
"Why didn't you fight back?" Grayson wondered.
"Because they were going to kill them like they almost did with you. Plus I would've been able to save just one or they would both be dead." I answered. "If that happened I would've just ended it. I wouldn't be able to live with myself. Their deaths would've been caused by me and I would have to live with myself knowing that just sitting there...letting them die...was wrong. I would've been telling myself that I could've done something to save a least one. Know what I mean?"
"Yeah, I do." Grayson exclaimed.
