"Dad...? Are you all right?" Kaden asked.
"Whatever!"
"That's not an answer." Kaden replied
"Kaden. Give me some space please."
"Answer my question first. Sincerely." Kaden proclaimed.
"I'm fine."
"Don't lie." Alice stated.
"I'm not."
"Grayson sure did a number on you and plus you just lost a friend." Alice announced.
"He was never my friend and never will be."
"He was your friend. And you know it. You should call him and apologize." Kaden exclaimed.
"For what?"
"Assaulting him." Alice implied.
"In your dreams."
"You two used to be so close." Kaden stated.
"Times change."
"They don't have to. All you two need to do is apologize to one another." Kaden proclaimed.
"The damage has been done kids. There's no going back."
"You're not the father that we remember. You would always apologize to anyone, even if you bumped into them. How is this any different?" Alice exclaimed.
"Be glad I'm not friends with Grayson anymore, he's useless."
"He saved your life." Alice announced.
"Do I look like I give a damn?"
"Yes...you do. Grayson is your friend dad, just because you got into a fight doesn't mean it has to end." Kaden stated.
"Our friendship is over and done with. Nothing will change that."
"You're wrong dad. Sooner or later you and Grayson will forgive each other." Kaden proclaimed.
"What do you know? You're just a kid."
"Yeah, I'm your flesh and blood." Kaden implied.
"You may be our dad...but you're not the dad we know and love. Now he would've apologized to his friend immediately. You've changed dad...and not for the better. You need to sit down and talk to Grayson face to face, and both of you have to apologize to each other." Alice stated.
"Grayson can burn in hell."
Kaden punched me, causing me to stumble back.
"DAD!"
"What?"
"You and I both know that Grayson is--"
"Was."
"Fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You and I both know that Grayson was your friend, but I know that you still care about him. Both of you used to be the best of friends--"
"Yeah, used to be."
"As I was saying, you and Grayson were best friends and both of you need to forgive each other and start fresh."
"And if I don't?"
"We'll hate you for the rest of our lives."
