A/N: Now don't be disappointed since this is the last chapter before I start writing a fourth book for Never Expected and before I start publishing my second fanfic with the same cast as this fanfic minus one for maybe 20 chapters. I know you guys must be getting tired of this fanfic by now, but so far it's the most viewed book that I've worked on, so of course I'm going to keep working on it. I know that enough is enough, but just like all of you I just can't get enough of this fanfic. So without further ado, here's the last chapter at least for now, so enjoy and let me know what you think. Don't hate on me too much, lol.
Previously on Never Expected...
Trouble
"Somebody, anybody, HELP!" Grayson cried out, before he got punched again.
Grayson was lucky that he was just around the corner. I quickly rushed to the boy's aid, and when the other boys saw me they immediately took off. I approached Grayson and helped him to his feet.
"Are you all right?"
"Yeah. Thanks." Grayson replies.
"Mind if I walk you home?" I wondered. "You can never be to sure. They may come back."
Yeah, that would be nice. Thank you." Grayson exclaims.
"You're welcome."
We started walking and started to chat, all the way to his house. Once we arrived, I turned to Grayson and told him that I had best be on my way.
"You sure? Don't you want to come in?" Grayson queries.
"Why not? Who knows it could be fun. I just hope that your parents won't mind." I respond.
"They won't."
I was about to go back down to the basement when I noticed Grayson wasn't with me, I put my plate down and noticed the door was open. I walked outside, but closed the door behind me. I immediately noticed Grayson and state, "This looks like trouble."The Fight
I ran to Grayson's aid.
"Leave him alone!" I imply, sounding serious.
"Yeah, and what are you going to do about it?!" Harold questions.
"Teach you a lesson you won't forget." I state.
2 hours later...
Grayson's Carotid artery had been clamped and his throat had been stitched. I went to the washroom and washed all the blood off of my hands and then returned to Grayson.
"I'll go and get the others and tell them they can come to see him." Dr. Johnson implies.
I nodded for my reply. I looked at Grayson and ask, "How are you feeling?"
"Good. Thanks for saving my life, I thought I was a goner." Grayson responded.Interviewed
"Excuse me, sir could I get your statement, please?"
I pointed to myself. He nodded in reply.
"Uh, sure."
"How do you feel about saving your friend's life?"
"Great. I just did what anybody would've done, he's a friend, but even though we've only known each other for a short time I consider him to be a brother. He needed my help and I was there to provide it. Given the chance I'm sure he'd do the same for me."The Bad News...
I took my mom's hand and placed it in mine, covering it with my other.
"Please don't die, not here, not like this."
"I'm always going to with you, I'll be in your heart, especially in your memories. I love you Daniel, I love you with all my heart and soul. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you my sweet angel, I love you."
"I love you too."
Right after that my mom flat lined and was also the time I left the room and cried. I walked to the elevators and conveniently one of them was opened. I entered and took it down to the lobby. The Good News...
"This may sound strange but...before my mom died, she said that I could live with my friends. I'm just wondering if it's all right with you?" I ask.
"I'll talk it over with William and then we'll let you know what we think. How does that sound?" Mrs. Riggs replies.
Mrs. Riggs called out to me. Grayson decided to pause the game until I came back. I ran up the stairs and then walked into the living room. I sat down on the chair and listened to what Mr. and Mrs. Riggs had to say.
"William and I thought it over and decided that you can live here as long as you live up to our expectations."First Night...
"That's not Assassin's Creed Unity is it?" Chandler asks.
"It sure is." I reply. "I even have the Xbox one."
"How'd you even afford it?" Chandler wonders.
"I, uh, just, uh, had some money saved up." I stutter.
"Ok, right there, was a lie, come on you can tell me. How'd you get it?" Chandler states.
"It was a gift from my mom and dad, but..." I hung my head.
"What is it?" Chandler queries.
"Chandler, if he doesn't want to talk about it don't try and force him to tell you." Hana exclaims.
"I'll be fine Hana." I voice. "When I received my gift...my mom...my mom...flatlined. She died due to a heart attack. This gift was her way of saying goodbye. God I miss her."
