Once we were outside of the hospital I gave Tracy a call, and it took her awhile to answer. My best guess is that she was still sleeping and I woke her up. It's only 8:30 in the morning.
"Hello."
"Hi. Tracy can you pick me and Kaden up? We're at Atlanta Medical Center."
"What happened?"
"Three days ago my son got stabbed and it was his bullies that did it."
"Oh my god! Is he all right?"
"Yeah, he's fine. Want to talk to him?"
"Yes, please."
I handed the phone over to Kaden.

Kaden's POV
"Hello Aunt Tracy."
"Hi Kaden, how are you?"
"I'm good."
"May I ask where they stabbed you?"
"In the heart."
"Well, I'm glad that you've made a full recovery. Tell your father that I'll be there in thirty minutes."
"I will."
"Ok, see ya."
"Bye."
I ended the call and handed dad his phone back.
"She'll be here in thirty minutes, dad."
"Ok."

-40 minutes later-
Tracy had just arrived and she apologized for being late. Kaden and I entered the vehicle and we drove off.

On the road....
Daniel's POV
I turned to Kaden, he looked at me and said, "yes, dad?"
"What happened that day at school?"
"What do you think? I got bullied, climbed up to the roof and was going to jump off. The whole school was practically outside. Someone even called 911. I was then talked out of it from a friend. We walked back down into the school and we immediately came face to face with them and after that I was stabbed."
"I can still pull you out. I don't want this to happen again."
"Neither do I, but I finally made friends at my school, I've befriended everyone except my bullies. I don't want to leave my friends. I know you want what's best for me and that's to be safe, but now that I have friends I will be safe. Trust me."
"Ok...I trust you."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome. Do you feel like you have the strength to go to school tomorrow?"
"Yeah. There's no need for me to stay home."
"Ok. I'm glad you're feeling better."
"Thanks. I'm glad to have an awesome father. I just wish I could've met my mother."
"You would've loved her. She was perfect in every way. She loved you both. I just wish she could see how you two have grown. You two mean the world to me and if I lost you two I'd be lost. I'd be completely empty inside. I would just end up killing myself."

"I know, you told me about this before. If we do die young, which is a big if, please don't kill yourself. You can just go back and live with the Riggs. They're not just your family, they're your friends. They stopped from doing it before, didn't they?"
"Yeah and I'm sure that they would do it again."
"They would, they care about you. I can tell."
"I know they do. They even treat me like I'm part of their family."

-25 minutes later-
We had just pulled up at the house. Kaden and I hopped out of the car, I took out the key to the house and unlocked it. Kaden and I stepped inside, when we did he just took off running to his bedroom.

Kaden's POV
The moment I entered my room, was the same moment I got a hug from Alice. I hugged her back.
"I'm fine, Alice." I smiled.
"I can see that. When I first found out I didn't want to believe it, but from the looks of it, it really happened. Are you going to be ok with going to school tomorrow?"
"Yes, and dad asked me that already, I told him the exact same thing. I'll be all right, trust me."
"I do."
After that we stopped hugging, left our room and went into the living room to watch some cartoons, but it had appeared that Aunt Tracy had started watching her soap opera "The Young And The Restless". So we just sat down and watched it with her and dad. I had no idea that he watched soap operas.
"What a guy!" I thought, with a chuckle.
"Why are you laughing?" Alice asked, in a hushed tone.
"It's nothing, I just thought of something funny, that's all." I replied.
"Oh, care to tell me?" Alice wondered.
"It was just the thought of our dad watching soap operas. I never realized that he watched them, so that got me laughing...well, chuckling." I responded.
"I'll agree with you on that, that is pretty funny."
Alice was now laughing, but she kept it to a volume only the two of us could hear.
I saw both Tracy and my dad look over at us. They were probably wondering what we were doing. It was either that or they thought we were crazy.

-2 hours later-
Tracy and Daniel had just started making supper and Alice and I just went to the park across the street. I just went on one of the swings and Alice went on the play structure. All I was doing was just sitting on the swing and I was watching Alice play.
I sighed and bowed my head.
I heard Alice approach me, I looked up at her and smiled weakly.
"Is everything all right?"
"Yeah...I'm fine, Alice."
"You sure don't look fine. Are you sure that there's nothing you want to talk about."
"Yeah...I'm sure."
"Ok."

-5 hours later-
"Ok, time for beds kids, it's way passed your bedtime and you have school in the morning."
"Night dad."
"Night Alice. Night Kaden. Sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite."
"Don't worry, we won't." Kaden and Alice chuckled.
Just incase my kids got thirsty I headed into the kitchen and poured them each a glass of apple juice. I headed into there room and placed them on their bedside table.

After I brought my kids their drink I got to work on writing another story. I called this book: The Unexplored Galaxy.

-3 hours later-
I looked at the time and noticed that it was already 3:00 in the morning. I wanted to take a break but, I just didn't want to stop writing. It was like I was in a trance that I couldn't snap out of. It was either that or I'm just one intriguing author who just gets sucked into their own books, but then again what author doesn't. If an author doesn't get sucked into their own books, how are they supposed to visualize everything that's happening?

-3 more hours later-
I had just finished writing chapter twelve and that's when I decided to proof read the chapters to see if there was anything wrong with the grammar or punctuation, but I decided to do that later. My eyes were getting heavy and so I decided to take a one hour nap.

1 hour later
I had just woken up to see that I was the only one awake so far, or so I thought. I went to go wake up my kids but apparently there was no need, they were already awake and by the looks of it they were already dressed.
"Are you guys hungry?"
"We are, but we'd like cereal this time around." Alice answered.
"Ok. Who wants what?"
"We'd both like Lucky Charms, please." Kaden stated.
"You got it."
I headed into the kitchen and started pouring the cereal into the two bowls. It didn't take me that long to prepare their breakfast, only like half a minute. Once it was ready I called on them and they just came running and hopped in their seats.
I looked at Kaden and noticed that he was smiling. It's been way too long since I've seen him smile. I was beginning to think that with all of the bullying he has received his bullies might've erased it from his life forever, but I'm glad that they didn't.
"So, Kaden why are you so happy today? Was it because of your dream?"
"In a way yes, but it's mostly because I just got a good feeling about today, that nothing is going to ruin it."
"What did you dream about? Lollipops and candy canes?"
"No. That sounds more like a dream that Alice would have, not me."
"I know. I'm just goofing around."
"I could tell. But if you really want to know what I dreamt about I'll tell you. I dreamt about the three of us and mom living together. It was perfect in every way. I didn't even want to wake up."
"If only your mom could see how much you've both grown. I just wish that she was still alive."
A few tears started cascading down my face.
"I miss her so much."

A few minutes later
After Kaden and Alice had finished their breakfast I cleaned the dishes and then we started to walk to the school.
"Hey dad?"
"Yes, Kaden?"
"I'm sorry for bringing up mom."
"It's fine. It was my fault. You were just telling me about your dream, that's all. Don't let me ruin your good mood, all right champ?"
"I won't."

A few more minutes later
We had just arrived outside and we were still laughing.
"That....was....hilarious. Where on earth did you find that video?"
"One of my friends showed it to me during a Skype call."
"Ahh."
"Well, have a good day at school you two."
"We will. See you later dad."
"See ya."
