A/N: here we are, the final chapters for Never Expected. I am so EXCITED, and I'm sure all of you are to. It's been a long time coming, but here it is. I promise to do my best to make this the BEST chapter(s) ever. So without further ado, here are the final chapters.

"Wait. You were drafted!? You're not even in the reserves."
"Well, I sort of messaged the army when I heard that they were looking for one last person to join them, so I took the opportunity and signed up."
"You can't go. You're going to be killed."
"At least I'll be dying for my country if it happens."
"Do your kids know?"
"Not yet. And can you keep this a secret for now. I'd like to tell the others all at once."
"So why didn't you wait to tell the four of us?"
"Because you looked very curious, so I decided to tell you."
"Tell Grayson what?" Chandler asks.
"That I've been drafted."
"Your not even in the reserves, so they can't draft you."
"That's pretty much what I said." Grayson states.
"Now I just have to wait for our parents to get home."
"Or you could tell them over the phone." Chandler implies.
"I'd rather wait. I just hope that I have time to wait to tell everyone else."
"So why don't you do that now? Because they could be on their way to pick you up right now." Grayson announces.
"Fine. I'll tell the others over the phone."

15 minutes later...
After a long conversation with my kids I was finally done telling everyone about what happened and just in time to, because a loud knock boomed on the door.
"Well, this is it."
"Do you have to go?"
"Yes, otherwise I'll have to go to jail."
"I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too Grayson. And I'll miss you as well Chandler."
"Be safe."
"I'll do my best."
"Before you leave, can I..."
I walked over to Grayson and kissed him for a few minutes before pulling away.
"Thank you, Daniel."
"You're welcome."
"Look Grayson, I know that you're really worried and scared right now, and you have the right to be. I'm going into war at such a young age, even though I have so much more to explore in the future. And I can tell that you're still wondering why I applied, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am."
"I've never told anyone this but..."
"What? What is it? You can tell me."
"This is between you, me and Chandler, for now so please don't tell anyone."
"We won't. I promise." Chandler implies.
"You see...my family has a history of joining the army and going to war. It's been like this since the 1880's. It's tradition. I know that this is my life and my choice, but you can't break tradition."
"Yes you can. You don't have to do this." Grayson states.
"Yes I do. If I don't I'll be in jail for desertion."
"Why didn't you stop yourself?" Grayson asks.
"I don't know. You can hate me all you want, I don't care."
"Do you even know where you're going for the war?" Chandler wonders
"It's either going to be in Germany or Vietnam."
"Are you serious!?" Grayson yells. "I know this is going to sound horrendous, but you're going to die."
"Gee, thanks for your support. Nice to see that you care...bitch!"
"That's not..."
"Too late, the damage has already been done. If I die I'll haunt you for the rest of your life Grayson."
"That's not what I meant Daniel."
"Then what did you mean, bitchson!"
"Hey! That's not nice!" Chandler declares.
"Stay out of this! This is between me and (*points at Grayson*) this son of a bitch!"
Grayson tried to punch me, but I blocked it, spun him around and started to push his arm up to his neck.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!"
I stopped and pulled Grayson down into the Kimora lock.
"Daniel, stop it! You're going to break his arm, or worse."
"How about I break his neck!? Or slit his throat!?
"Daniel, please stop. I'm sorry. What I meant to say was that, since both of those places are dangerous you may die easily. That's it. And I don't want to lose you to some stupid war! You still have kids to look after."
"They have Uncles who can be father figures."
"Can you please let me out of this hold? I can hear the bone cracking."
I released Grayson from the hold and kicked him away before standing up.
"I think you should leave. You threatened to kill my brother, and I don't want to be around you or be in the same house as you right now."
"Then go visit a friend."
"No. Because I could come home and find Grayson's body on the floor, surrounded by a pool of blood."
"He's not going to kill me, Chandler. He only said those things out of anger."
"Daniel, leave now or I'm calling the cops."
"You can't call the cops on a someone who's about to go to war."
"Watch me."
"Chandler. Don't. Daniel's a good guy. I know that he threatened to kill me and almost broke my arm twice now, and that he's going to war, but he would never hurt anyone...not even a fly."
"Except he's going to be killing a lot of people which changes people. So when Daniel returns home..."
"If I return."
"If Daniel returns home, we may not recognize him." Chandler states.
"It's true Grayson. If I do come home, no one may recognize me. I could be an extremely different Daniel."
"If you do come home, we'll be sure to throw the biggest welcome home party. And you'll still be the loving, caring Daniel that we've come to know and love."
"Thank you Grayson."
"I agree. Look Daniel...I know that you would never harm my brother, even if you did threaten him. You've shown my brother more respect than anyone I've known. And that includes me."
"I know that applying for the army was extremely stupid and I know that both of you hate me for it. Plus I love helping others. But killing another human being, just isn't my style...even if it is tradition."
*knock knock knock*
A few seconds later my kids came running up to me and hugged me at the same time, while crying.
"Daddy, please don't go...I don't want to lose you. You mean a lot to me. We haven't even gotten the chance to play catch together, unless it was catching those foul balls."
"I still got some time, we should all play."
"No, you two should go have some father, son time." Alice states.
"Are you sure? There's always room for more."
Everyone agreed with Alice and told Kaden and I to go and have fun. So I ran upstairs, grabbed two baseball gloves and a baseball, and then returned to Kaden.
