That's how long it had been since I had last seen Johnny. After we had both left that diner that night, going our seperate ways, we left into the night assuming we'd see each other soon. After all, that's what the phrase "See you later!" Implies. But I could not be more wrong.
No matter where i'd go within Tulsa, I could never find him. Every street and sidewalk, every building, he was no where to be found. Who was he really?
He completely disappeared like a shadow in the night. I asked around occasionally, slipping in a little "Hey do you know this kid named Johnny?" and the responses would always be the same. "Which one?" or "Johnny Smith? Cade? Andrews?" and I never knew the answer, because I never caught his last name. The one key to finding him, and I fucked it up.
"Ugh.." I groaned as I laid down on Daisy's bed, Daisy sitting next to me whilst reading a magazine. "I can't find him anywhere!"
"Johnny?" Daisy questioned, looking up from her magazine. I nodded before covering my face with my hands, rolling over and groaning into the orange and yellow covers. "I'm sure you'll see him soon, Astra" I looked up at her with a "are you serious?" look. She rolled her eyes with a smile, stroking my hair as I dipped my face back into the covers."Astra, Astra, Astra.."
