— I STILL FELT   JOHNNY'S LIPS   ON MINE, DAYS    AFTER   THE EVENT THAT TOOK PLACE

Everytime I thought about the kiss, my heart felt as though it would explode. It was almost as if I was falling in love over and over again, never once hitting the ground. I had that tingling sensation in my stomach, what some would call butterflies. I found all of my symptoms similar to that of falling when thinking of Johnny, which is why I saw it as falling in love, not that I fell in love.

The distinction between the two is important, despite what others say. When somebody is falling, it means that they are head over heels, but they don't know if the commitment to the person is worthy. Whereas if you were to have fell in love, it means that your journey begins and you and your partner explore one another as well as life itself. It means that you've devoted yourself to that one person with instinct, rather than a wedding band to seal the deal. It was romantic to some, and others found it to be suffocating.

I wasn't sure if Johnny had felt that spark. After the kiss, he just laid down with me on his friends bed, stroking my hair calmly. It felt as if I were on cloud 9, different from anything that i've ever experienced. "You're so beautiful.." he said to me at one point before he kissed the top of my head. I felt as though I were about to faint right then and there.

I had left not a few moments after that as I had to get home. I wasn't sure if my mother had left for her trip, but if she had, it meant she wouldn't be back for a couple months. But before she left, she always wanted me there. For what reason, I wasn't sure, and I honestly didn't care. But if I weren't there, she'd throw a fit as soon as she got back. And I mean a fit, a fit that a 5 year old would throw. I didn't want to deal with that, so I had to be home just in case.
