— THE BRIGHT,   GOLDEN SUN   SEEPED THROUGH THE   CURTAINS

Even though I had woken up, I took a few seconds to recollect myself and the memories of the day prior— or more specifically, of the night before. Thinking about how all of it played out, I couldn't have been happier. The experience was everything that I had dreamed it would be and more. The person who it was with, how it felt, all of it. I couldn't have asked for anybody and anything better.

I looked over at my bedside table, noticing the clock right next to me read 10 am. It wasn't too early, more toward the later risings. I had never been a morning person, but this morning was different. This morning, I wanted to wake up and actually get ready and go out and do things, and I wanted to do them all with him— with Johnny.

I turned over, Johnny finally coming into my line of vision. He looked peaceful as he lay beside me, in a sedated and calm state. It was both a relaxing and easing sight, one that made the world go quiet. It was as if all of the sins and bad deeds of the world had vanished, it was just the both of us, together in the moment. Nobody could ever make me feel like Johnny does, and I knew that was how it would stay. No matter what, regardless of how life played out, he would always be my first love.

His eyes were closed shut, locked away from the world and reality. His lips were soft, still freshly red from the numerous amount of kisses that were given. His bangs fell to the side of his forehead, down toward his pillow, his head against the plush material. His hands were around my waist, holding me tightly against him as if I would disappear if he were to let go. It made me feel both safe and amused at such actions, but it made him all the more adorable.
