Johnny's arm was wrapped around my waist, the other leaning on the back of the couch as he pulled me closer to him. I laid my head on his shoulder, my hand against his chest as I aimlessly stared at the TV playing some random channel. I zoned out as I stared at the screen, Johnny doing the same as we sat in comfortable silence.
The Curtis house was for once quiet. Darry, Soda, and Steve were at work while Pony went to the library to get some books that he had been wanting. Two-Bit and Dally were both off doing god knows what. Me and Johnny decided to stay "home" as we wanted to spend time together alone.
I had been busier than usual. School was soon starting up, meaning that we had to collect school supplies. I also was more into academics than Johnny, meaning that I was already filling our applications for higher classes.
For the past few weeks, It had been rare that we got alone time. The gang was always around us, and when we all weren't together, neither were me and Johnny.
Thankfully, today was quiet. I had a clean and clear schedule, so there was nothing more that I wanted to do than spend my time with Johnny. I signed deeply, one that was filled with satisfaction. I felt a pair of lips lay a soft kiss to my forehead. I looked up at Johnny with a smile to see him already staring at me, a big smile on his face. "I love you" He whispered before lifting my chin up a bit more and passionately kissing me.
