— I TOOK LONG   STRIDES   ACROSS   TULSA'S SIMMERING SUMMER   PAVEMENT

The day was both bleak and bright, with the clouds overcasting the sky, but the leaves and nature around me all so saturated. Summer was, although my least favourite season, a peaceful one at times. I enjoyed gloomier looking days, which is why I preferred the winter season and the cooler weather. No matter how prickly the air and how harshly the cold nips at your skin, there's always benefits to the cause.

My converse scratched on top of loose stones and fallen petals from cherry blossom trees. The day was still young as it was quiet. I had decided to take a morning stroll in order to clear my head from any surrounding, unnecessary thoughts. But the more I continued to walk, the more Johnny continued to creep up my mind.

A few days after the 3rd week of not seeing him, I decided the my luck was out and it was not meant to be between us. So I decided to let all of those thoughts about him go, that way I wouldn't be longing for him still.

I turned the corner of the street to find a brunette boy cornered by a bunch of Soc's. Immediately, my heart skipped a beat as I was aware of what was happening. I knew that I had 2 choices, leap into action or continue to walk. The first option was the only right one in my mind, so I didn't hesitate to pick up my steps toward the scene. I had to think of a plan fast as every step I took, I got closer and closer to having to face the fight. I saw a lightbulb go off above my head and I immediately pulled up my baby tee, rolling my skirt up a bit in order to shorten it. As much as I hated making myself look more seductive and sexual, it was the only ways that these pigs would listen.
