1944 to 1945
During the collapse of the Soviet Union, Imperial Japan was fighting the US on the Pacific while also fighting the colonies the Europeans had.
However, due to the failure of their invasion in the Philippines, they were slowly losing ground in all fronts.
Especially their islands in the Pacific, slowly being invaded by the American Troops as they hop to Island to Island that the Japanese held.
These island campaigns were harder due to the extreme resistance and continued Banzai charges by the Japanese defending the island.
Luckily, though, some elements of Pilipino Troops were helping the Americans on their campaigns and were suitable to find secret bunkers, or were the ones to discover the Japanese ambush, which will always be repelled brutal manner as the Pilipino were good at close quarters combat while the Americans provided supporting fire.
Slowly but surely, the Japanese were pushed back, and their fleet suffered losses against the Americans, but they were able to escape most of the time.
While In China, the last attempts of the Japanese offensive happened at all fronts, especially in Communist China, who hadn't received any support due to the fall of the Soviet Union, leading it to crumble under the Japanese might luckily though Nationalist China managed to set up a line of defense preventing the Japanese from getting through.
With Imperial Japan slowly realizing that the war is at their disadvantage, Emperor Hirohito ordered the army to stop and surrender these. However, it took quite a while before things died down, with Imperial Japan sending diplomats to the US to talk about peace.
After that, the diplomats met with the Americans in the Battleship Iowa, in which a peace treaty was signed.
The Treaty has many terms, including the withdrawal of all military assets alongside the navy that will be under the guidance of the americans and their homeland be under occupation as well limiting their military and much more.
Thus, peace was achieved in the Pacific, ending Ww2 as the historians called it even though there were two fronts with different conflicts and ideologies.
As well as an ambition, the future will always change depending on the actions of a person or the decision that has been made.
