Jennie felt her mind blank for a moment.

How did he guess it? She was sure that she didn't show any loopholes and didn't allow him to see through her.

Was it because of the difference in their martial arts?

With her head having so many unanswered questions, Jennie was really confused.

Yet, she didn't show any of them on the outside.

Smiling, she retorted.  "Didn't Prince Ashan know that Jayn was dead?"

"The corpse is fake," Prince Ashan answered calmly. "Jayn is someone who is highly proficient in martial arts and has high power. To be unable to escape from that room of fire is highly impossible. The corpse is in the Pan Kingdom, but I got the chance to examine it once. The one who died is indeed a young man, but his height and part of the intact clothes didn't suit the information regarding Jayn.

Of course, ordinary people wouldn't realize this one fact. But I can notice the difference right away. Since Jayn is still alive, you who have similar stature as a scholar and high martial skills are likely Jayn. Is my conclusion right?"

For Jennie, this was truly a huge blunder.

How can she expect there would be someone who noticed the difference right away?

The number of young male criminals on death row was few, and she could only pick someone quite similar in height to her.

Just a few individuals should be able to tell the difference.

What kind of person was this man to notice the difference so quickly?

This prince was both interesting and frightening at the same time.

"You're right," Jennie admitted. "What do you want?"

Prince Ashan smiled. "I want you to take over the Yuan Kingdom."

Once again, Jennie's mind blanked.

Was the person before her a crown prince?

How a prince could be so willing to give up their kingdom for other people?

She looked toward Prince Ashan with confusion.

What was going on in the Yuan Kingdom?

Prince Ashan gave her a wry smile. "I'm not really a prince from the Yuan Kingdom. I'm only here because of business, similar to you. I come from beyond the river and I only have the time to stay here for a couple of weeks until the water goes down again and I can return.

The emperor didn't have children, and the people around him were not qualified to be an emperor. At first, he wanted me to succeed, but I didn't want to stay here for a long time. Previously, he wanted to give it to the Ming Kingdom, but upon knowing the truth about the Kim Family, we switched our target."

Jennie stared back deeply. "I guess, the attack towards Ming Kingdom is planned by you?"

Prince Ashan nodded.

He didn't have any intention to hide it. After all, what he did is not one to be praised, and the fact that he did want to meet with Kim's family is the true reason.

"I know that Kim's family had some animosity with the Ming Kingdom, but he too has friends there. When I heard that the one who came was Prince Yoon and his wife, Ha-Nee, I remembered that Ha-Nee was your sister's stepsister. Thus, I planned to kidnap them and lure you to come."

Jennie nodded. After this prince said those things, she came to understand why the event was like that.

That was probably the reason he only sent two small groups to chase after Yoon and Ha-Nee.

Their target was not them, but her. They wanted her to see the martial arts they had to make her come to this kingdom.

"But why did you leave Ha-Nee in that head guard charge? Don't you know what he's going to do?"

"I know. In case she couldn't fight back, I would appear to stop it. But, it's unneeded. After they escaped, I waited for some time before dispatching some troops to chase after them."

Somehow Jennie truly wanted to congratulate and at the same time beat up the man before her.

What he did was truly well planned and even she cannot say that in terms of the scheme, she could beat him.

But in terms of martial arts, she was sure that she could beat him any time she wanted despite both of them having fought using their real ability.

Although that particular part was disturbing her, she didn't really take it to heart.

The incident had made Yoon and Ha-Nee grow closer, so in a way, it was not a problem.

Besides, if he truly planned to interrupt in case Ha-Nee can't fight back, she could partially accept it.

Jennie looked toward Ashan. The things that surprised her the most were this man's capability to make things happen the way he wanted them.

"You sure are amazing, Prince Ashan," Jennie said calmly.

"Thank you for your compliment. What do you think about my proposal?"

"Taking over the Yuan Kingdom?" Jennie didn't have any interest in taking other people's kingdom, but could she reject it?

Her grandfather had told her before that the military needed more money.

All this time, the one who controlled it was her grandfather because she was quite dumb in this area.

The Yuan Kingdom was quite prosperous because it traded with the kingdom from the outside. The trade will be beneficial for her too, and Jennie couldn't bring herself to say no.

"What is the benefit for you?"

"For me?" Prince Ashan laughed. "I would have a lasting business partner and dependable ally. The emperor is starting to get old, and I doubt he would reject the invitation from the Kim family."

Jennie knew that the emperor was older than the other leader, but she didn't want to be an empress by all means. Besides that, the strong family around here was not only the Kim family.

"The Kim family is not the strongest family here. There are still several more of them. Are you sure that you want us?"

Prince Ashan nodded. "I know that you're not the only candidate, but given your location is nearer and the capability of your soldier is amazing, I choose you."

"I see, so it will be disrespectful if I reject it."

The two of them smiled.
