After talking with Lisa, most of the time was spent on Jennie to prepare for her own marriage.
Somehow, she felt more nervous compared to advancing to the frontline and fighting.
Still, she continued to do her duty in making the dress, though Shin-Hye had to help her due to her lesser skill in embroidery.
Because Shin-Hye was busy dealing with the marriage preparation, she often came to Jennie's residence and talked about many things.
From her, Jennie found out the facts about the Qin Family and Jackson's complicated birth.
Jennie patiently listened to everything Shin-Hye told her and she prepared herself for everything that was needed.
After a few days of busying herself, Jennie felt incredibly tired.
"Mother won't be coming today?" Jennie turned her head to Tzuyu, who was cleaning up the mess she created on the table.
"Madam Shin-Hye is busy today, so she won't be coming," Tzuyu answered politely.
After undergoing harsh training under Xia about how to serve their Miss, she had grown better in behaving herself.
Jennie looked towards Tzuyu. Somehow, she kind of missed the previous innocent Tzuyu since she was really funny.
However, now that her conduct was already correct like this, she didn't have to worry about her being inappropriate anymore.
"Tell Xia that I will be going for a while."
"Wait Miss..." Tzuyu turned around only to find Jennie already disappeared.
If anything, the only thing she still couldn't do was prevent Jennie from going.
Seeing that Jennie had already gone to who-knew-where, she could only sigh and went out to report to Xia.
Hopefully, Xia would not blame it on her.
Jennie slipped away from the residence towards the small lake near the capital.
Since she was in the Ming City, which previously was the capital of the Ming Kingdom, she was very familiar with the place.
Her favorite place hadn't changed as she looked towards the lake with shining eyes.
It was not like she didn't have any other place like this, but she liked the one over here very much.
Due to many accidents and all, she hadn't gone here for a long time.
Luckily, there were not many people coming here due to the ghost rumor. She didn't realize that she was the cause of the rumor, though.
Taking off her shoes, she slipped her foot into the lake. The cool water made her feet feel comfortable.
Looking towards the water's surface, she noticed that someone had come.
"Lisa... why did I meet you whenever I go?" she asked jokingly.
Lisa arched his eyebrows, "Shouldn't I ask you what you're doing here when you're supposedly preparing in your residence?"
"I'm bored," Jennie answered.
Lisa already expected that answer. When he previously visited the 'sick' Jennie, she seemed to not be able to stay quiet.
Now that he knew that she was actually Jayn, he realized that she already sneaked out during that time and posed as Jayn to meet with Jisoo.
"You still like to come here despite the rumor?"
"I don't believe in ghosts," Jennie answered.
Lisa nodded his head and glanced towards Jennie's feet, "Don't take too long in the water. You will get sick."
"Just this amount won't make me sick. I'm already used to fighting below the rain," Jennie retorted.
She didn't want to end her fun here yet.
Lisa sighed to himself. It will take him a long time to get used to her being the same as Jayn.
When he faced Jayn previously, he didn't care about the other party to the extreme.
Now that Jennie was Jayn, sometimes he felt that he was at a loss about how to interact with her.
Moving her hand, he rubbed Jennie's head tenderly, "You're still a girl."
Jennie was stunned at Lisa's gesture. Her mouth curled up into a smile, "I'm already a woman. In a few more days, I will be 18."
"You're still not 18 yet, so you're still a kid," Lisa answered.
"No way, 17 already an adult," Jennie protested.
Somehow, their debate turned into this matter again. After a few more exchanges the two of them looked towards each other and laughed.
Their conversation had turned into a complete joke again like the way they used to interact with each other.
In truth, Lisa knew that she was no longer a kid.
However, he tried to convince himself to think about her that way. This was the best way he could think to allow himself to have more restraint around her.
He wouldn't want to have her slap his face hard again.
Jennie stood up and wiped her feet before wearing her shoes again.
While she was wearing the shoes again, Lisa looked towards Jennie with interest.
"Do you like shoes very much?"
"...... " Do you think I'm looking towards your shoes?
"I'm thinking about the time we meet here. You're not feeling well, and you were soaking your feet in the pond too," Lisa answered.
Jennie recalled her memory once again. At that time, she was trying to erase this man from her thoughts, so she sneaked outside the residence.
Unfortunately, she instead bumped into him once again.
Coincidentally, that day was the first time she had her period, making her feel unwell.
When her thought came to that point, her face blushed red.
This man must have remembered that incident again. She didn't want him to talk about it anymore.
"Just erase that thought from your memory," Jennie said indignantly.
"No way," Lisa chuckled, forming a devilish smile on his handsome face.
That was probably the first time he saw her as a woman rather than a girl.
Though, in his eyes, she was still a little kid he needed to protect.
"If you already know about it, why don't you tell me at that time?" Jennie humped.
"Do you really want a man to tell you things like that?"
Jennie's brain worked again. Well, no. There was no way she would want to hear something like that from a man.
Just from him knowing it already made her incredibly embarrassed.
"I will just return now," Jennie walked away.
Lisa moved forward to pull her closer to him, but she sneakily moved from the way before disappearing into the darkness.
Lisa smiled slightly, She could run now, but later she wouldn't be able to run away anymore.
