Jennie had heard the news of Lisa's arrival in the Yuan Kingdom.
Her people sent the news as fast as they could to her per her instruction. She picked up a pen and paper as soon as she received the news.
"Xia, give this to Mother."
"Yes Miss," Xia received the letter and quickly walked away.
Jennie stayed in her place for a few seconds before moving her feet towards her son's room.
She smiled when she saw her son and gently picked him up.
The little boy blabbered a bit, but he stayed calm in his mother's embrace.
"Tzuyu, you stayed in my room and locked the door."
"Princess?" Tzuyu didn't understand her Miss's instruction, but she quickly moved and got into her Miss's room.
Jennie still held Louis in her arms when she walked out of the room to the training hall.
Louis watched her with his big eyes, but Jennie just smiled at the other party and gently blocked his vision by moving her closer in her embrace.
She didn't want her son to see things like this when he was still so little.
"It's okay. You don't have to be afraid."
From behind her, she could feel an attack directed towards her.
She moved her feet to the side with an agile movement and her right hand instantly unsheathed her sword and struck the other party.
Seeing the black-clothed person behind her fall, she sighed to herself. There were so many assassins targeting her lately.
Well, if they think she had weakened just because she was giving birth not long ago, they were completely wrong.
Three more people came to the training hall. Jennie didn't initiate the attack.
She just gently held her son and made sure that his eyes were covered with her clothes.
Those assassins attacked her and she responded with effortless movement. In a matter of seconds, they have fallen to the ground.
It didn't take her too long to finish battling against them all.
If they came when she was pregnant, she might not be able to fight that well, especially because she didn't want to upset her baby.
But now that she has already recovered, they were only looking for trouble if they came here.
"Ah, sorry Louis," Jennie adjusted her hand after she finished.
She sheathed her sword back to its place as she held her son firmer yet gentle.
Seeing the completely clueless face of Louis, she smiled gently. She truly didn't wish for him to see violence at such a young age.
Planting a kiss on the boy's cheek, Louie laughed at the gesture.
He raised his hand slightly, and Jennie smiled when she saw it. He was truly cute!
She walked back to the residence, "Tzuyu clean up the mess."
"Yes Miss," Tzuyu quickly came out of the room and started to order the servants to clean up the place.
"Yeji, you too clean up the mess at your place," Jennie was not the only one who fought.
Yeji also fought some of them on the other side.
"Yes, Miss."
She put Louis to his bed and instructed the servants to guard the boy before returning to the training hall.
