Lisa left the matter of politics to Jackson and Jisoo as he led the battle to conquer the remaining cities along with Jennie.
Although Jennie no longer participated personally on the battlefield, her appearance alone made the soldiers work harder.
It took them several months more to finish covering the northern part of the Pan Kingdom before they had to return to the Pan Kingdom's previous capital because of some matters.
Jisoo confronted Rosé's father after part of the conquest had been over.
At the very least, there was no kingdom named the Pan Kingdom anymore despite many of the areas still raising their blades toward them.
"I have fulfilled the promise I made."
Dan Park looked towards Jisoo for a moment.
He had already seen the process as he was part of the army, but he never thought that they would succeed.
With each of the fights, he could see the power of Lisa's side was getting stronger each day.
He crossed his arm. "You say that you fulfill the promise, but there are still many parts from the previous Pan Kingdom left."
Jisoo knew that. The conquest was not entirely over yet, but there would not be any big battles anymore as long as there was no major figure appeared.
The biggest worry they have is Jiu because this prince is very powerful, and he disappears after that battle.
However, they have to finish the other matter first before thinking about this young man again.
"We're going to conquer them all soon enough, General Dan," Jisoo proclaimed solemnly.
Dan thought about it as he recalled Lisa and Jennie. "How long do you think it'll take the two of them to finish conquering the entire land?"
"It doesn't have to be them, right? There are many accomplished generals out there too," Jisoo reminded.
FDan nodded his head. There were indeed some other generals whom Lisa deployed to take care of the battle in other places.
Aside from that, they also have to make sure that the people don't clash with each other.
After all, they previously belonged to different places and have a completely different culture.
"You're right."
After that, the two of them stayed silent. They stared at each other for a few minutes as they thought about what they were going to say to each other.
To be honest, Dan no longer disapproved of Jisok like before anymore.
The young man was quite different than an ideal man who protected women in normal terms.
However, he perfectly countered Rosé as he could stand her strong personality very well.
"Do you still want me to wait, General Dan?" Jisoo asked hesitantly.
He didn't like to wait again, but if he had to, he would do it.
Dan crossed his arm. "How old are you again?"
"I'm nearing 20," Jisoo answered.
If he didn't count it wrong, it should be his birthday in a few more weeks.
"What about Rosé?"
"She's 18 years old."
"Do you think she's already too old for marriage?"
Jisoo frowned. "Not at all."
In the first place, the disparity between his age and Rosé was not that far.
It was more normal to have a difference in age between three to five years rather than one year here.
After all, women were considered adults when they reached 15 while men were considered adults when they reached 18.
Most of the people here would arrange marriage even before they reached the age.
This made the disparity of age between men and women range around three to five years.
"Don't you prefer a younger woman?" Dan asked again.
Jisoo resolutely shook his head. Regarding a woman's age, he never bothered about it too much.
For him, all he wanted was Rosé. Even if there was a woman younger and prettier near him, he would never spare them any interest.
His experience of living as a woman already provided him with more than enough time to enjoy their beauty in the past.
"I want to know your ability in fighting first, young man," Dan stood up. "You're allowed to use your secret needles. That is if you have time to use them."
"It's my pleasure, General Dan."
The two of them stood in front of each other. Facing a veteran general like Dan, Jisoo could feel the suppressive aura coming from the general's body.
It was pushing him down as the pressure could make ordinary people terrified out of their wits.
Holding the wooden sword in his hand carefully, he stepped forward and attacked the general.
He didn't have much strength compared with the general, so the only option he had was to try to find the chance to attack this general under the barrage of attacks.
TAK!
TAK! TAK!
TAK!
The sound of wooden swords clashed with each other filled the courtyard. The two of them went on to attack each other continuously.
With each attack, Jisoo was pushed to the back. In the end, his foot bumped into the wall.
The suddenness caught him off guard, and Dan immediately used the chance to kick the young man.
*cough* *cough*
"Is this enough.. *cough* General?" Jisoo coughed as he held his stomach.
This general was very merciless. His stomach was hurting like crazy.
Dan nodded his head contentedly. "That's for taking Rosé away from me."
Jisoo smiled wryly.
Why did it sound as if he was a thief?"Get up. We're not done yet."
"I won't be able to match your stamina, General," Jisoo would be beaten up black and blue if he tried continuing the fight.
Dan shook his head and pointed to the chair. "We need to talk."
"I understand."
In the end, Jisoo and Dan talked for a long time. Jisoo finally got the old man's permission, despite the general still grumbling.
Going by the normal way of proposing, he sent his people to give the betrothal first so they could get married early.
