A certain place a few minutes before
Jisoo followed Lisa and Jackson toward the Yuan Kingdom since he wanted to see the place too.
There was not much of a job he needed to do in the hospital and he was really bored. Rosé was already going to the battlefield again with her father accompanying the little lass. Since he had some time, why not visit the place?
However, the journey they had was not that smooth because of an unexpected ambush on the way.
"Seriously, there is still someone who dares to ambush Young Noble Han?" Jackson looked towards the men who had fallen to the ground with a frown.
With his status as the Young Noble Han, who would dare to attack him? Normally they would instead give him the way.
Aside from that, the journey toward the Yuan Kingdom was not made openly. There shouldn't be anyone who knew about his journey here.
"They know that you're Prince Jackson," Lisa said calmly.
Jackson's eyes grew bigger. "Are you serious? How many people know I'm the Young Noble Han? I always wear a disguise when meeting people, aside from a few of them."
"There is a spy among us," Jisoo concluded calmly. "No, it's not me if you're suspecting me."
"..."
In the whole world, the least he would suspect would be Lisa, Jisoo, and Jennie. The three of them knew his real identity. He was not sure about Jennie, but he thought that Jayn had told that little girl since she didn't seem surprised when meeting them in that restaurant that day.
After them, there were only a handful of people who knew about his identity, and each of them was people whom he trusted.
Jackson's face turned awful. Who among them would actually sell him out, and how much did the enemy know about him?
"Did they tell you who?"
Lisa shook his head. "They don't know."
"Are you sure they are not lying?" Jackson asked.
"With Lisa's way of interrogating, I doubt they would dare to lie," Jisoo said calmly. After saying that, he turned his eyes toward the Pan Kingdom direction. Aside from him, Lisa was also looking in that direction with a frown on his face.
"What is it?"
"Blood," Lisa answered. "There are thick scents from the metallic tang of blood. The west border of Ming Kingdom has fallen."
"The one over there is Pan, right? Who could have beaten that monster?"
"I don't know."
They continued the journey until they reached the border. The scent of blood there was thicker, and they could see a pool of blood in front of the gate. Aside from that, there were a lot of battle marks. Dozens of soldiers were there, moving their bodies to clean up the mess.
They came closer and asked one of the soldiers there, "Whose blood is that?"
"It's Pan."
"That monster was fighting here? Right outside the Yuan Kingdom?" Ever since they heard about the loss of the Ming Kingdom to the Yuan Kingdom, they knew that the military force of the Yuan Kingdom had grown. But, they never knew that there was a monster that could beat Pan there.
Jackson walked closer. "Who made him bleed? Did he die?"
"General Chan, but no, he's still alive," one of the soldiers answered truthfully based on what Kim Family soldiers told him.
Hearing that name, Lisa's eyes lit up. Did it mean that Jennie is here too? There was a possibility for that since her grandfather was here. He wanted to see them right away.
"Where is he?"
"He is in the nearby inn and currently looking for a doctor since he is badly wounded."
Jisoo was startled. "I'm a doctor. Bring me to him!"
The other two followed after Jisoo as he ran towards the inn where Chan was. The old man's wound cannot be simply said to be bad; he had lost his left arm. Chan looked towards the young man in disbelief as Jisoo hurriedly came closer to him.
"General Chan, let me see your wound."
"You're..." Chan started, but he stopped midway. He sat on the chair as Jisoo did his best to stop the bleeding. The wound was really something, but thankfully Chan was a war veteran and he could bear the pain from treating him while he was awake.
Lisa looked towards the wound with a frown. Given how badly wounded he was, how can he still wound Pan that deeply? But, he didn't say anything until Jisoo was finished with the treatment.
"Many thanks, Prince Jisoo."
Jisoo smiled bitterly. Even with this appearance, it seemed someone like Chan can still recognize him easily. He has met this war veteran once before, but at that time, he was dressed as a girl. Although he had expected Chan to recognize him, he still felt rather surprised.
"You have sharp eyes, General Chan. You should not move your body too much, the wound may worsen."
"I need to go to the room next door," Chan insisted.
"Why?"
Chan looked at Lisa, who was standing behind, waiting patiently. Can he tell him about Jennie and the fact that she is wounded badly next door?
He knew that the two of them had some feelings for each other, but he can't bring himself to tell him that Jennie was, in fact, Jayn and she was wounded badly.
"General Chan?"
Still, he deserved to know at least a little. Preparing himself, he looked towards Lisa. "Jennie is next door, wounded badly."
After hearing that, it didn't even take one second for Lisa to run from the room towards the room next door. Jackson nearly got knocked out by the speed that his friend suddenly exerted.
"That girl is hurt?" Jackson was stunned. He knew that Jennie learned a bit of martial arts from the horrible memory of him getting beaten up by the girl.
But how can she get hurt? Don't tell me that she participated in the fight against Pan?
"She is hurt from blocking Pan and giving me the chance to counter him" Chan lied. There was no way he can say that Jennie was the one wounding Pan. If word were to spread, they would surely chase after the girl, and a lot of problems would appear once again.
Jisoo took his bag. "I better check her too."
Unfortunately, before he could get into the room, his friend already kicked him out.
