The Yuan Kingdom
Ever since Emperor Seulgi of the Yuan Kingdom chose to back down from the fight against the Ming Kingdom, they have enjoyed a relatively peaceful state. There were some minor troubles on the border, but nothing too serious.
However, an earthshaking piece of news has now reached their hall. The Kim Family, one of the pillars of the military power of the Ming Kingdom, has decided to separate themselves from the Ming.
Without them, the Ming Kingdom's power would decrease significantly.
While the officials were discussing the situation heatedly, Emperor Yuan stayed on his throne, deep in thought about the unfolding developments.
Meeting with Leo Manoban, he realized that the previous military strategy was no longer valid, as the Ming Kingdom's power had changed dramatically.
Seeing the excitement in the room, Emperor Yuan finally raised his hand, silencing everyone.
"Which option would be more beneficial, attacking the Ming Kingdom or the Mountain Kingdom?"
This question sparked thoughtful consideration among the officials. The Yuan Kingdom bordered three kingdoms: the Pan Kingdom, the Ming Kingdom, and the Mountain Kingdom.
Attacking the Pan Kingdom was deemed highly impossible since it was the largest among them all.
The other two options had their challenges and potential risks.
After careful consideration, they realized that Emperor Seulgi had already ascended the throne in the Ming Kingdom, making them vulnerable.
Additionally, attacking the Ming Kingdom would halt their advancements, considering their talented officials.
"Ming Kingdom."
"Ming Kingdom."
Almost all of the officials answered in unison. They wouldn't allow the Ming Kingdom to continue their expansion.
"Then, send the order."
...
The Kai Kingdom
Upon hearing the news, the emperor of the Kai Kingdom smiled coldly. This was a significant opportunity presented by the Kim Family's departure from the Ming Kingdom.
By weakening the Ming Kingdom, they also made the Mountain Kingdom stronger, but the Kai Kingdom wasn't worried about the latter's influence.
"General Wei, do you believe we can defeat the Ming Kingdom?"
Ever since the previous battle a few months ago, General Wei had been training intensely, refusing to lose against a young warrior like Lisa again. This upcoming battle would prove who was the better one among them.
General Wei felt some regret for the way Jayn died. He wished he could have challenged Jayn and exchanged a few moves.
Losing Jayn on the battlefield was less regrettable than the current situation.
"The chance of defeating the Ming Kingdom has increased," General Wei answered honestly.
The absence of the Kim Family has significantly weakened the Ming Kingdom's military power, making them more vulnerable.
"Then, make the preparations. General Wei, led the army alongside the fifth prince and the first prince. Do not repeat the same mistake."
Hearing that warning, General Wei understood the emperor's desire for his remaining talented sons to achieve success and not meet the same fate as their fallen brothers.
"I understand," he replied calmly. This time, he wouldn't make the same mistake again.
In the background, the fourth prince's lips curved up. He had been tormented for weeks by the memory of Jayn.
Only after learning about Jayn's death did he finally find some peace. Standing up in the hall, he bowed to his father.
"I wish to attack the Kim Family too."
The fourth prince believed that without their former leader, the Kim Family would be easier to defeat.
The emperor narrowed his eyes before nodding. "You and your second brother can go to the border of the Mountain Kingdom to take some interest. But remember, don't go too deep."
The deeper they ventured into the Mountain Kingdom's territory, the more challenging the battle would become due to the disadvantageous mountain terrain.
That's why the Mountain Kingdom could withstand attacks despite its diminishing power.
The fourth prince's smile deepened. He had been waiting for this chance.
On his side, the second prince's eyes narrowed. He didn't think this journey would be an easy one, especially with the fame of the Kim Family already spread far and wide.
...
The Pan Kingdom
The emperor calmly looked at the board. He had not yet made a decision, but the surrounding officials remained still, waiting patiently for the emperor's command.
The emperor raised his head and pointed to a girl standing beside a man.
From their attire, it was clear that they were the prince and princess of the Pan Kingdom.
"You two will lead the war. Don't confront General Tou head-on; split the army towards the South."
The two of them kneeled.
"We understand," they replied.
Tapping his finger on the chair, the emperor stared at the board coldly. The time for revenge against the Ming Kingdom had come.
