After talking with Lei, Lisa walked to the room next door where Xuan Pei was held.

Xuan Pei was not only Lei people, but he was also the emperor's spy. Because of that, he knew more than Lei in some fields.

However, he would not let the information leak out.

Aside from that, Soujin also found out that Lei disposed of the secret organization that Krystal previously held. It seemed he was already prepared to lose this battle.

Indeed, logically speaking, he was truly not a match against them.

Xuan Pei looked at Lisa coldly, but he never opened his mouth. Ever since he was captured, he didn't let any information leak out from his mouth and kept all of them inside him.

Seeing that he didn't give any information, Lisa chose to end that spy's life.

Cleaning up everything, he met with the others in front of the tent.

They were sitting together waiting for him patiently. He told them what he got from Lei and the event that happened with Xuan Pei.

Jennie sighed. When she first met with Xuan Pei, he was only an ordinary excellent teacher at the academy.

However, his loyalty lay in his country.

"A loyal person until the end, but he serves someone wrong."

The one whom he served would not even remember him. He was only used to gather information and did his job in another country.

But, that was his decision and no one forced him to do it.

Jisoo had to agree with Jun Hua's words. Xuan Pei was loyal to the emperor even though he sent the former to the battlefield to die.

The emperor had long wanted to get rid of his excellent nephew to allow his useless son to get the throne.

However, his plan would be ruined if the Pan Kingdom lost to Soujin.

"By the way, Jackson, you take too long," Lisa looked towards Jackson, "It should have been finished in five days, not one week."

Having Lisa pointed that out again, Jackson felt like banging his head against the wall.

Unfortunately, there was no wall over here, only some trees and he was sure that his head was harder than the woods.

Besides, Shu would stop him before he could achieve what he wanted.

"He picks the wrong way," Jennie interjected, "Didn't you tell him the way?"

"I did."

Jackson remembered the way that Lisa pointed out to him... it seemed he got lost a bit.

"Forget it, at least the results are good," Jisoo said, "If we continue our march to the Pan Kingdom, Prince Jiu will come after you."

"It doesn't matter," Lisa answered, "To unite the five big kingdoms, we need to face him sooner or later. Let's prepare ourselves."

After saying that, Lisa turned around and walked towards the other commanders to arrange the formation for their next advance.

Seeing the confidence back of Lisa, Jackson was suspicious about whether Lisa was feeling nervous or not.

"Is he that confident?" Jackson asked suspiciously.

The power of Jiu was not one that they could contend with in normal ways.

If anything, he should be said as the most powerful living general in this world aside from Lisa, so he didn't understand where Lisa's confidence came from?

J.nnie watched Lisa back as her lips curled into a wry smile. She stood up from her place and said some words without looking back.

"It's the general duty to maintain the morale of his soldiers. If the general is nervous and unconfident, do you think the soldiers will be able to do their best?

Even if they know that the fight is hopeless, as long as their leader is still at the front and fights with his all, they would advance."

Jennie was also a general, but before that, she was a soldier. She still remembered the back of her uncle and his teaching to her.

No matter how hopeless the situation was, she couldn't show her weak side to the soldiers and lead them to victory.

She remembered how Seulgi's confident back made her feel like they could win every battle.

No matter how hard it was or whether they were at a disadvantage, she believed that her uncle could turn the situation around.

The same applied to her soldiers. When they saw her standing at the frontline and fought with her all.

They would advance forward with the confidence that they could win.

Even if they had to suffer a lot of hardship, they were willing to support their leader.

After saying that, Jennie walked to Lisa's side and helped him with the arrangement.

Jackson and Jisoo stayed in their places.

Jackson sighed, "Why do I have the feeling that she is not the useless girl from the capital?"

When Jennie said those words, he could sense a faint suppression of her tone.

Besides, the atmosphere changed for a moment when she spoke.

As he was already trained in martial arts, he knew those tiny changes better than ordinary people.

It was rather faint, but he was not that idiot too.

Jiskk nodded, that one moment was the image of Jayn Kim from the battlefield, the leader of thousands of soldiers and their beloved general.

She was someone who had already spent years of her life fighting on the frontline, thus making her not an ordinary girl.

"What she said makes sense. It's the same as when you're trying to lead your people," Jisoo grinned.

Jackson wore a sour face. What leading?

He could barely manage the court as he was because of his bad image.

Besides, it was not like he needed to do anything in the court until he was chosen as the emperor by these people.

"You haven't understood the importance of a leader, brother," Jisoo shook his head.

"I do, a leader is indeed really important," Jackson retorted.

Jisoo shook his head.

Going by how Jackson still used that tone to talk to him and his easygoing attitude, he knew that Jackson hadn't realized it yet.

"You will see soon enough, soldiers without a good leader will lose even to a weak group," Jisoo said.

Jackson was sure that it was the case. After all, Lisa forced him to become a leader a few times in the past and arranged the soldiers.

The result was not pretty as he made a lot of mistakes and made them lose even quicker.

Because of that painful experience, he was confident that he understood the meaning of a leader better than Jisoo.
