Zenitsu's POV:"You're sweating bullets, my boy." Gramps readjusted the yellow bowtie on my neck as I wiped my forehead.
"I can't help it Gramps!" I covered my golden eyes, "It's just so nerve racking! I'm about to marry my best friends, anyone would be nervous!"
He ruffled my hair, careful not to mess it up, and grinned. "No need to be so anxious, son. It's just something that'll drastically change your life!"
I ducked my head and turned pink, "That's not helping..."
He laughed, "Sorry boy-o."
"I love you." I muttered suddenly and pulled a surprised Gramps into a hug. "Thank you for putting up with such an annoying brat like me for all these years."
"You're not annoying, and most certainly not a brat."
"Yes I am, stop lying." I wiped my eyes to stop any tears from surfacing, "At least you won't have to deal with me anymore, from now on I'm Tanjiro and Inosuke's problem."
"You'll always be my problem, son."
"Was that a compliment or an insult?" I asked, forgetting about my worries for a second to stiffle a laugh.
"The ceremony is starting soon, I better get going." Gramps said and I suddenly felt the weight in my stomach again. He glanced down at his handwatch, the same one I had gotten him for last Christmas, "You'll do great."
"See you later." I mumbled.
He put his hand on my shoulder, "I'll be right in the front row."
I nodded, "I know."
He left the room and I looked down at my hands, trying to think of something else than all of my stress. Instead I thought of first meeting Inosuke and Tanjiro, I can't believe how far we've come since then.
Back when Inosuke was stealing phones and when Tanjiro was hopelessly oblivious.
Not that they've changed that much, of course.
Inosuke's still ridiculously ignorant of society and it's standards, though me and Tanjiro have been desperately trying to teach him. Luckily, he's finally stopped with the dumpsters, after only about eight years of drilling that in.
Tanjiro is still thoughtful and kind, dropping anything instantly just to help someone out, but he's grown about five inches taller than me and he tells me about it every chance he gets.
The thing that's changed the most is my love for them. It's way beyond little crushes and dates now, we actually really all love each other, and nothing's going to change that.
I took a breath and calmed my nerves, nothings going to go wrong, I pressed down my bangs and stepped out into the crowded and noisy reception hall. Taking my place at the altar, smiling sheepishly at the seven present best men and women.
They shuffled around into a more straight and uniform line, Genya standing directly next to me with a nervous smile on his face and a black suit on his body. He glanced around before murmuring, "Are you sure you want me to do a speech?"
