Chapter 60

Zenitsu's POV:

Why can't we just have a normal day for once?

Usually Inosuke's the one acting weird, but I guess that's just how he is.

I was late to school this morning, so I'm already feeling off, but to make matters worse Tanjiro has been acting really strange ever since I got in class.

He even got yelled at by Miss Tamayo!

Me and Inosuke are always getting into meaningless fights with each other in class, so that makes sense why the teacher would call us out.

But Tanj? He's the perfect student and never causes trouble, so this doesn't make any sense.

I should also mention how he won't even look me in the eyes, any time I talk to him he just stares at the floor or any other direction I'm not in.

Now it was time for lunch and he zoomed out of the room towards the cafeteria.

I sighed as I headed after him, did something happen?

Or maybe is it because I kept him up all night... Could he be mad at me for that?

Then suddenly someone came up behind me and grabbed my arm, "Monichi!"

I let an amused smile spread across my face as I turned to him, "Hi Inosuke."

Inosuke started pulling on my sleeve every which way, "Are we going to go eat???"

I started walking again, "That's where I was heading."

He nodded enthusiastically and broke out into a run, dragging me after him.

We zoomed towards the lunch room so fast I could barely catch my breath as I managed to sputter my words out, "Why- do you- always- do this!?"

Then just as quick as he moved into motion, he slid to a stop, letting go of my arm in the process, sending me flying into the wall.

"AAH!" I bonked my head and fell backwards onto my bottom. "You couldn't have WARNED ME?!"

Inosuke shrugged confusedly, "For what?" He pulled me back onto my feet then said, "Why did you run into the wall?"

I brushed myself off as I rolled my eyes, "Nevermind that, let's just go insi- where are we?"

Looking around, I realized we weren't at the cafeteria, but some other part of the school.

"I just went in one direction!" Inosuke exclaimed triumphantly.

"Whatever, c'mon." I motioned towards the hall to our left to lead us the right way.

We walked for a few minutes, before I spoke up again "Hey, Inosuke, can I ask you a question?"

He laughed like a maniac then shouted, "You just did!!"

I just stared at him for a moment then decided not to say anything about that and just continued talking, "Anyways, have you noticed anything different about Tanjiro today?"
