When they walked through the doors of the party Marie found Steve pretty quickly, and her and Eddie started to make their way over to him. Steve looked up from Nancy and saw Eddie and Marie. He felt himself grow jealous of how Eddie's arm was slung around Marie's shoulders.

"Hey Steve!" Marie says to him over the loud music, and he smiles widely at her.

"Hey, you guys are late!" He says to her, and that's when Nancy turns to see who Steve is talking to.

"Yeah, Eddie's hair took longer than I was expecting." Marie says to Steve and her and Nancy gave each other a quick wave.

"I'm shocked you got it all up!" Nancy says and Marie nods her head.

"So where's the drinks?" She asks Steve, and he pointed to the kitchen.

"I'll go with you." Nancy says to Marie, and the two girls walk over to the kitchen.

"Have you seen Billy?" Eddie asks Steve, and Steve shakes his head.

"No, Marie tell you what he did?" Steve asks, and Eddie nods his head.

"Yeah, he's a dick for that." Eddie says, and Steve nods his head.

"I'm shocked Marie hasn't found him yet, she loves Dustin so much." Steve tells Eddie, and that's when it hit Eddie.

Him and Steve both cared for Marie, they wanted nothing more for her than happiness. But he realized that Steve knew Marie longer, that he knew everything about her. Whereas he didn't, he cared for her and would do anything for her, but if it came down to it and she had to choose between the two, she would choose Steve.

"Yeah she really does, and I can't imagine what she'd do to him." Eddie says to Steve, and Steve nods his head.

Steve didn't care much for Eddie, that much was clear to the both of them. But when it came to the girl, they would get along just for her.

Nancy and Marie were further from the two teens, and talking about something when they noticed a teen boy downing a red solo cup of the punch. Marie was shocked he did it so well, that when he dipped his cup in it again, Nancy asked him.

"What's in this?" The teen looked at the two girls, and smirked.

"Pure fuel! Pure fuel!" He then turns back towards the party, and the two girls grab a cup and dip them in the punch.

"Hey, Marie. I'm going to go outside and get a smoke in." Eddie says as he comes up to the right side of Marie, and she smiled up at him.

"Okay, I'll be dancing most likely." She says, and he walks away from her. She throws her head back drinking the rest of the punch in her cup, and then she dips her cup back in. At the same time as Nancy.

"Hey, whoa! Whoa! Take it easy you two." Steve's voice fills Marie's ears, and she turns to look at him at the same time as his girlfriend, and before Marie can say anything to him Nancy butts in.

"We're just being stupid teenagers for the night. Wasn't that the deal?" Nancy then downs the rest of her punch and drops her cup in the bowl, grabbing Marie's arm and dragging her to the dance floor.

Marie didn't know how long she had been dancing with Nancy and Steve, but when she felt someone grab her arm she turned to see Carol there.

"What the hell do you want?" She asks Carol, and Carol huffs.

"Just wanted to let you know that Eddie and Billy are arguing outside." Is all Carol says before she turns around and walks towards the front door. Marie turned to tell Nancy and Steve where she was going but they weren't behind her and she figured that they would find out soon enough.
