Marie had walked out in her swimsuit, but when she gave a glance to Billy she sees him sitting in a shirt, a hat, a pair of shorts, and a towel covering him. He had an ICEE in one hand and a lighter in the other.

She was confused by this, but ignored him and walked to her stand. Once she was sitting she felt uneasy, and then noticed a group of kids watching from the parking lot.

She was wearing her sunglasses, so when she looked at them they wouldn't be able to see her doing so. The red hair of one of the girls gave away who was watching the pool.

Max and El stood next to one another, Mike stood next to El, and Will and Lucas were on the other side of Lucas. Marie shook her head and ignored them, they probably were talking about how weird it was that Billy was covered head to toe, almost like he was trying to block the sun out.

So she watched the pool, and before long she had forgotten about the kids being in the parking lot, and she was in the pool, and telling parents to watch their kids closer.

Mrs. Wheeler was there, she was also just staring at Billy. Something was wrong with him, and she couldn't tell what it was. Then she glanced at Marie who had been the one doing all the lifeguard duties, but Marie didn't seem to mind.

So as parents began to pack up everything, and drag their children to the locker rooms, Marie walked over to Billy's chair and stared up at him.

"The hell is wrong with you?" She says to him, he looks down at her. His eyes were wide as he stared at her, and they looked almost bloodshot.

"What?" Billy asked, and Marie shakes her head.

"I've covered for your ass long enough, just do your damn job." She said to him then she walked away and began to clean the pool deck. Billy was overcome with anger towards her at this point, he didn't know why though.

He climbed down from the stand, and began to help her clean up. The sun wasn't up anymore, and he could feel the cool air of the summer night. So he was able to move the way he usually did.

"I'm done cleaning, I'm going to to get dressed now." Marie calls out to Billy, and he nods his head.

He watched as she walked to the locker room. He decided not to follow her at first, and let her think nothing was going to happen.

Marie walked into the locker room and grabbed her clothes and towel, she knew she was going to rinse off the pool water. But she had this feeling in the back of her mind, like something was going to happen to her, but she ignored it.

Once she was done washing herself, she grabbed her towel and began to dry off. Placing her clothes on her body, and started to dry her hair. Walking back over to her locker, she leaned down to grab her deodorant when the first bang rang out.

She stood straight up, and didn't move. Then the second bang, and the third. Marie decided to look around her, and when she did she screamed.

But it was cut short when Billy's hand wrapped around her throat. She grabbed his hand trying to pull it off of her, and she couldn't. He felt like a solid wall, like he wouldn't budge.

Marie began to hit Billy's arm, but again he didn't even flinch. She met eyes with him, and his looked so sad. So hurt. She decided to try and speak to him, but when she first tried it wouldn't even come out, but she didn't give up.

"Bil-ly." Marie's voice was beginning to fade, and she could tell she was running out of air. But she was fighting, she was fighting to live at this point.

"I'm sorry." Billy's voice says to her, and she just stared at him. Tears brimming her eyes, and Billy cocked his head to the side, confused by the tears.
