Flash of the Blade-Iron Maiden
Middle of May🌸
4 Weeks Left of School
Frankie, Hunter, Emily and Kevin drove back home after a fun filled day at Mr. Wonder's Empire. Dropping Frankie and Hunter off first to her house. His Challenger was parked at her house from meeting there this morning.
Hunter said goodbye to their two friends and picked Frankie up from the back of the van as she was still fast asleep. Carrying her bridal style in his arms to the front door. Knocking with his shoe once getting there. Her dad laughed at the sight after he opened the door.
"Youngster always did love roller coasters. Come on in, just throw her on the couch." Morgan moved to let Hunter walk inside the house.
He gently laid Frankie down and grabbed the throw blanket off the back of the couch to spread over her body. Smirking at her peaceful face one more time before leaving her presence.
"You want a beer or anything kid?" Morgan offered as Hunter walked out of the living room into the kitchen area. Cracking one open for himself.
"I uh I'm only 18?" Hunter wasn't sure if he was being tested or not by the offer.
"I was drinking at 14." Morgan replied blankly.
Hunter unsure if it was more of a statement or him giving approval to have a drink with him.
"That's okay. I have to drive back home." He still decided to pass on it.
"Damn. You are a good kid ain't ya? Glad to know my daughter's hanging out with a better guy this time around."
"Sir?" Hunter's face involuntarily scrunched in confusion.
"I met that Skip asshole maybe a dozen times or so. Who the hell names their kid Skip anyways? Dickhead was always up to no good and brought her mood down. Then there was that Chester Elliot fella before that. Heard that thug finally got thrown in the clink for stabbing somebody after she had been running around with him for a year. He never seemed to give Frank any issues but that's the last type of person she needed to be hanging around with. I know the Elliot's. Bad influences all of em." Morgan took a swig from his beer can before he continued on.
"She doesn't know but he and his brother came around here looking for her about a year ago."
"Chester?" Hunter squinted his eyes in more confusion. Unsure where this was going or why he was explaining this.
"Yeah. The little thug. He was fresh out of wherever they had him locked up. I always knew those Elliot boys were trouble."
"What happened? I mean when they showed up here." Hunter pictured both of the other boys. The three were always cordial with each other. Having similar personalities, minus how big of partiers the brothers were and how violent he knew they could get.
"I told them Frank moved away to live with her mom. They were too stupid to know any better so they bought it. Never seen them since then. I didn't want my daughter anywhere near those punks again. That whole family is bad news. She doesn't need to get involved in their trouble and caught up in some mess of theirs. Like I said, she has no clue it happened and I would like to keep it that way."
