Hail to the King-Avenged Sevenfold
"Well if he didn't want to kill me before he definitely does now!" Hunter anxiously shouted as he closed Frankie's passenger side door after he jumped into her truck. Sinking down into the bench seat as low as he could. Feeling her dads eyes still on him from inside her house.
"Yeah probably." She responded nonchalantly as she started to drive away. Hunter snapping his head in her direction and sitting up straight.
"This is where you're suppose to be reassuring and say NO he's not!" Hunter's voice going up an octave each time he spoke.
"Sorry! What can I say you're dead meat." She laughed back, knowing her dad wasn't really going to do anything to hurt him. She rolled her window down for the fresh morning air as she drove down the road.
"I'd tickle you right now but I don't want to cause us to crash and die." Hunter threatened to her. Still panicking over their morning experience with her father.
"I don't know, might be a less painful death than whatever my dad has planned for ya."
"Sullivan!" Hunter's voice cracked at this point.
"Sorry! Last one." She couldn't help picking on him. Another trait she had similar to her father.
"Did I just get you in major fucking trouble? Sorry if I did, you can go home and blame me. I swear I wouldn't have stayed if-"
"Nah don't worry about me. The man's a pushover." Frankie cut off Hunter's nervous babbling before he got any farther. Calming him slightly with her response.
They drove home letting music fill the empty space of the truck. Hunter slid over enough to be able to reach over and place a hand on Frankie's thigh once he calmed down enough to do so. The pair relaxing more from the comforting feeling on both ends.
Hunter watched as Frankie softly sang under her breath along to Avenged Sevenfold on her radio. He was slightly upset that their morning together was cut so short. Wanting moments like this to live on longer. He was going to sing along as well with her, he always sang with the radio when driving by himself. But he wanted to take her voice in one more time before having to go home.
The drive back to Hunter's home was a shorter one. Frankie pulled into his driveway and put her truck into park. Looking over at Hunter after. Really taking in his morning appearance for the first time today. His hair was still messily thrown on the top of his head. Disheveled pieces framing his face in a flattering way. He was effortlessly so handsome. She was surprised at how much she was wishing for more time together already. Not wanting to say goodbye so soon.
"Thanks for the ride and not kicking my dumbass out on Friday. Or the next day for that matter." Hunter let a small smile appear on his lips. Grateful for their weekend spent together. Finally feeling like they were able to get closer and resolve some of their issues this time around.
"You weren't so bad to keep around. There could have been worse company I guess." Frankie held her lips together, trying to fight back a smile of her own. Hunter being amused at her charming sarcasm.
He looked down at Frankie's lips and back up to her eyes again. Unsure if he should lean forward on his own to make a move. Or if she even wanted him to do that. Until he noticed she looked down at his as well. Taking it as a sign to go for it.
