"Maybe I was right about you all along." Hunter spoke with venom dripping from his tongue.

"Enjoy your new year and new life. We're done." Hunter spat out. Walking away from Frankie and Brody. Out of the bar completely.

Frankie's chest tightened as she felt herself start to hyperventilate. Almost falling down to the bar floor but Brody quickly caught her.

"No, no we're not doing this here. Come on girl I got you." He tried to reassure.

Walking her over to the bathroom to let her recollect herself.

*

"How can he fucking say that?" Frankie croaked out through harsh sobs while she sat on the bathroom sink.

Brody was using tissues to wipe the black makeup that was smudged all over her cheeks from crying.

"He's just hurt right now, it's gonna be okay. Don't worry." Trying to console his friend.

"You didn't see the way he looked at me Brody. He hates  me."

"I'm pretty sure that boy could never hate you." He let out a breathy laugh at the idea. Knowing it wasn't possible.

She looked at him while he was trying to clean her up. Feeling guilty for even being friends with Brody now.

"It was never like that between us." She blurted out. Wanting to make that very clear.

"Pfft, you don't have to tell me that Sullivan. I might be a horn dog but I know we are and always have been just friends. That isn't the issue." He spoke with sincerity.

"No the issue is apparently I'm just some pretty face that can't keep her legs closed." She scoffed out.

Brody froze and stopped the tissue on her face. Being taken back by that comment.

"Sylvester said that?" He questioned in a somber tone.

"Not recently but he has before. I'm sure this didn't help change his opinion on that at all."

"Damn. That's fucked up." He said as he returned to removing her makeup. Swearing to himself that black glitter was never ending.

"What if he's right?" She asked as her tears continued down her face.

"He's not."

"How do you know that Brody?"

"First of all, because I know you are way more than that and you should too. How long have you been with Sylvester? Like officially?"

"I don't know. Four or five months." She shrugged as she sniffled.

"Have you even looked at another guy or so much of thought of one?"

"Fuck no, I just want Hunter. No one else."

"Exactly. Maybe you just need to tell him that." He tossed the used tissues in a nearby waste basket.
